Mpoxと関連する合併症で入院した症例の後方視的調査。98％が男性、年齢中央値は35歳（IQR 30-44）。71％が白人民族で、30％がHIV罹患者、CD4の中央値は510個/mm3（IQR 349-828）だった。直腸または肛門周囲の痛み（直腸炎を含む）は、最も一般的な入院適応で、（28％）重度の痛みは57％で報告、二次的な細菌感染は58％に認められた。入院期間の中央値は5日（IQR 2-9）で、10人が手術を必要とし、脳炎が2例報告された。24%にテコビリマットが投与され、4例で早期中止となった（2例はトランスアミナーゼ上昇、1例は治療反応良好、1例は患者自身の選択）。研究期間中に死亡した例はなかった。
