選ぶなら「一生ご飯禁止」か「一生パン禁止」か

How many times do you have rice and bread in one day?

And what if you have to completely quit one of them?

Surprisingly, what people eat for breakfast varies depending on which prefecture they live in. According to one of the articles shared on the bottom of this post, people in Kanto region tend to have healthy food such as cereal, and those in Tohoku region prefer rice for breakfast.

Well, we all know that rice in Japan is one of the most delicious food in the world. It would go really well with a wide range of food. It can serve as a part of Donburi, Teishoku, or just itself, rice balls.

However, bread is also preferred by a lot of Japanese people as well, especially when they are busy. It takes much shorter time to prepare just like making a toast takes just a few minutes. I'm not sure if this is why, but people in Kansai region love bread over rice for breakfast somehow.

Just to note, it is a debate topic. This means that I'm NOT expecting you to say which one you like and why. Instead, please imagine that you are convincing people to believe in your side. Therefore, it is not going to work well if you simply say, like "I believe a life with rice is better because I like rice more than bread." This is no good. Instead, you must describe WHY a life with rice (or bread) is better than the other so that your side makes more sense than the other.

So, the debate topic for this time is: Which should we choose, life without rice or life without bread?

Here, "life without rice" means a life with no meals that have rice in them, such as fried rice (チャーハン), red bean rice(赤飯), Omurice (オムライス), and so on. This is not just about simple white rice. And, the same idea applies to bread.

And finally, I have mentioned a lot about breakfast, but this is not just about it. Life without rice means life absolutely without it, even for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Any meals with no rice, okay?

Here are some useful articles to check out before you build your argument, so please take a look!
