遅ればせながら新年のご挨拶を申し上げます。皆様が健康で新しい年を迎えられたことを願っております。大変遅れましたが今年、初めてのブログ掲載になります。年の初めに私達サスーン社のインターナショナル・クリエイテイブ・ダイレクターのマーク・へイズからのメッセージで新年のご挨拶とさせて頂きます。そしてマーク・ヘイズの作品の数々を今回紹介させて頂きます。お見せしたい作品がまだたくさんありますが、その作品は後に紹介させて頂きますので、楽しみにしていて下さい。

新年のご挨拶

サスーンインターナショナル・クリエイティブ・ダイレクターである私、マーク・ヘイズから、日本の美容師コミュニティの皆様、特に大切なサスーンスクールシップ&サロンシップの皆様への新年のメッセージを送らせて頂きます。

まず最初に申し上げたいのは、COVID-19コロナ感染病の蔓延を食い止めるために、皆さんが安全で健康で、政府のガイドラインを遵守していることを信じています。

2020年はユニークな年でしたし、皆様も私と同じように、ワクチンが作られ、配布が始まった今、パンデミックの迅速な終息を願っていることは間違いありません。私達、髪を扱うプロフェッショナルが一丸となって助け合うべき時期であることは間違いありません。

サスーンは、サスーンのオンラインプラットフォーム https://www.sassoon-online.com を通じて、世界中のヘアコミュニティをサポートするために最善を尽くしてきました。また、国際的な美容師の世界に働きかけるためにデザインされたプログラム、Sassoon INHAUS（サスーンインハウス）も開始しました。

最初のロックダウンの間、私と北米のクリエイティブ＆カラーダイレクターのトレイシー・サコシッツとリッチー・リヴェラは、6週間のカットとカラーリングのコースを完全無料で行いました。このコースの様子は現在、サスーン・アカデミーのフェイスブックの専用チャンネルで放送されています。

世界的な大流行にもかかわらず、2021年に向けてサスーンスクールシップのカットコンテストのプレヒート(予選会)とファイナル(決勝大会)の準備に追われています。当然のことながら、世界的な状況のため、日程を少し変更せざるを得ませんでした。プレヒートは5月末から7月初旬まで、ファイナルは10月5日（火）に開催される予定です。10月のファイナルで皆様にお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

もちろん、サスーンスクールシップ・ヘアカットコンテストは、私達、業界のすべての人にとって非常に重要なものです。唯単に美容学校の生徒やその先生方に勇気を与え、激励するプラットフォームを提供するだけでなく、特にこのCovid 2019のパンデミックロックダウンの状況の中で、私達髪を扱う美容師、ひいては美容界をサポートする役割も果たしています。
私はあなたが自分自身を鼓舞し、あなたの心とそして技術を保つために、ロックダウン期間中に新しいスキルを学ぶために勉強し、多分時間を取っていることを確信しています。いつものように、私は今年、世界が正常に近い状態に戻ったときに、新旧の友人にどこかで会うのを楽しみにしています。

それまでは、安全に気をつけて、元気でいてください。

New Year Message
31st January 2021

This is a message to all of the Japanese hairdressing community and especially our valued Sassoon Schoolship and Salonship members from me, Mark Hayes International Creative Director of Sassoon.

First of all, I would like to say that I trust that everyone is safe and well and adhering to the governmental guidelines in order to stop the spread of the Covid 19 disease.

2020 was a unique year and I am sure like me, you are hoping for a swift end to the pandemic now that vaccines have been created and are starting to be distributed. It is certainly a time when hair professionals should come together and assist each other.

Sassoon have been doing their best to support the global hair community through our Sassoon online platform https://www.sassoon-online.com which connects you to sassoon education 24/7. We also launched Sassoon INHAUS; a programme designed to reach out to the international hairdressing world. During the first lockdown myself and North American Creative and Colour Directors Traci Sakosits and Richie Rivera, conducted a six week cutting and colouring course that was entirely free. It is currently being aired on our dedicated Sassoon Academy Facebook channel.

In spite of the global pandemic, we have been busily preparing the Sassoon Schoolship Cut Contest Pre-Heat & Final for 2021. Naturally, due to the situation the world finds itself in, the dates have had to be changed slightly. The pre heat is now scheduled to take place from the End of May through to the beginning of July and the Final is set to be held on the 5th of October. It is always such an exciting creative time and I look forward to seeing all of you at the Final in October.

Of course, the Sassoon Schoolship Cut Contest is very important for all of us in the industry. Not only does it provide a platform to inspire and encourage hairdressing students and their teachers, but it also serves to give a vehicle for hair professionals especially during this Covid 2019 pandemic, lock down situation.

I am sure that you have taken the time to study and maybe to learn new skills during the lockdown periods to inspire yourselves and to keep your minds and hands active.

As always I look forward to seeing friends old and new this year when the world returns to a status somewhere approaching normality.
