発音は/ ˈlæŋɡwiʃ /です。
Languish はラテン語の languere「weak, faint：弱い」が語源です。
使用例など
languishing 形容詞：長引く、思い詰めた、感傷的な
languishing economies：低迷する経済
languish in poverty：貧しい生活を送る
languish in prison [jail]：刑務所で苦しい生活を送る
