Rhizomatiks Exhibition 2021 @Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo

Rhizomatiks is a digital art group based in Japan. 

Here’s some sneak speak from the exhibition: 

Dancing boxes installation composed by robotics and engineering. 

I think the black robot on the right controls the movement of boxes. 

Award-winning artwork “Particles”

White balls rolling down from top to down on the rail, spotted by laser lights, it creates a digital installation art. 

There were also some other artworks that I liked which I wasn’t allowed to take photos : 

- A dance movie of Perfume with digital clothes used for their music video

- A dance video of multiple dancers dancing at the balconies of a colorful apartment and Rhizomatiks did an amazing work monitoring the dancing movements of each dancers and created an unique videos by combining each dancers’ dancing scenes. 

For me, who had only seen team lab as digital art, it was really interesting to visit this exhibition. Though tech stuffs are bit too difficult to me to comprehend hehe.
