さて、前回お話ししましたとおり、先日ビーチ旅行にいってきました〜
In the previous episode, I was talking about our short trip to Noosa which is a famous beach in Queensland.

今回の旅行は車で行ったんですね。
というか、私たちの旅行ってたいていが車なんですけど。
We went there in my car. Actually, we usually go on a trip by car in general.
今回の車旅行で、買っておいてよかったぁぁぁぁぁぁぁというものがありましたので、今日はそちらについてお話しさせていただきます。
In today's episode, I will talk about a useful product I got before the trip.
その商品はですね。だだん！
Kmartのトレイです〜
The product is……. a universal tray from Kmart.
うーん。埋め込みができません、、、
こちらです。
なんでこのトレイがよかったかというと、砂です。
The tray is amazing for avoiding making a mess in the car due to sand.
ビーチでのお散歩ってとても気持ちがよくていいんですが、どうしても砂まみれになるんですよね。
Walking on beaches makes me feel great, however, my concern is sand that I can not get rid of easily.
特にうちの旦那はなぜかわからないんですが、砂まみれになるんですよ。
スニーカーをよく履くので、砂が詰まるからなんでしょうか？
I do not know why, but sand tends to stick to my husband's shoes. I am not sure but this may be because he usually wears runners rather than thongs. Sand might get stuck to the sole of his runners.
今回はこのトレイを助手席の足元に置いて、
このトレイの上に、靴を乗せてくださいな。
とお願いしました。（私の車なのでokしてくれました。）
On this trip, I took the tray and put it on the floor where people usually rest their feet.
So I asked him to put his runners on the tray. I know it might be a hassle and uncomfortable but my husband accepted it as the car is mine.
もちろん、カーマットも敷いているんですが、
ビーチの砂って取り切れないんですよ。
永遠に出てくる。
Of course, we also have car mats, however, it is impossible to get rid of sand completely. It's never-ending.
しかも、聞いたところによると、
オーストラリアで洗車に出すと砂は別料金がかかるらしいです。
（知らなかった、、、）
Also, according to what I have heard, cleaning sand costs you extra when you bring your car for washing, which I did not know!
トレイを置いたところ、あんまり砂が落ちてなかったんですよ！！！
トレイすごい。
Anyway, by putting the tray on the floor, my car did not have a sandy mess. I did not expect the tray to work so well.
しかも、このトレイ3.5ドルなんですよ。
これは、今後も後部座席に置いたりしようかなぁなんて思う品となったのでした。
Also, the tray is just $3.5. I am currently planning to get an extra tray for the back seat.

ということで、今日のエピソードで私がお伝えしたかったことは、
Anyway, the things I wanted to tell you are covered in three.
1：Kmartのトレイ、ビーチ旅行の砂対策に良かったです！
The universal tray from Kmart was amazing for beach trips as it prevented me from making a mess in my car!
2：理由その1 足元に置いて、そこに靴を置いてもらうという手軽さ。
The first benefit of the tray is simple to use, just putting the tray on the car floor.
3：理由その2 そして手頃！！
The second benefit is the reasonable price.
という3点でした。
今日の小噺
いつものように終わる前に、今日は実験がてら、
私が心に残った単語とその理由を日本語でお話ししますね。
すみません。
こういうことするとエピソードと単語がリンクして、記憶に定着しやすくなるんです。私の場合。
runners
オーストラリアの人って、スニーカーのことランナーズっていうんですよね。
もうそのまま。
thongs
これもオーストラリア英語なんですかね。
ビーチサンダルのことThongsって言うんですよ。
車関連の英語はなかなか覚えられません。
英語にするとそのままなんですけどね。
ハンドル：steeling wheel は慣れてきましたけど。
トランク：Bootはまだぱっと出てきません。
ちなみにトランクでも通じるよって旦那に言われました。
トランク：アメリカ英語
ブーツ：イギリス英語 らしいです。
