Quick note on copying stuff across on Ctrl+Shift+a. I just wrote this formula here. And I want to shoot this across my timeline. I do Ctrl+Shift+a. What you would have noticed is that unless you tell where to stop, it is going to go all the away across the whole of Excel ending up in the column XFD here, which is not what we want. So how do we tell it how to stop?

Well, what we do is you see that timeline runs up to March 2026. That’s ridiculous, right? But actually in infrastructure or project finance often we do model a really long time period. But in your models maybe it is much shorter or it is monthly so you have a lot of columns, or could be daily cashflow. Whatever it might be. You are going to have a timeline. Let me delete this stuff first. At the end of that timeline, what we recommend you do is hide the columns. Ctrl+Shift+right arrow, Ctrl+Shift+0.
2026年3月までの予定があるんだ 馬鹿げていますよね。しかし、実際にはインフラやプロジェクト・ファイナンスでは、非常に長い期間をモデルにしています。しかし、あなたのモデルでは、もっと短い期間であったり、月次であったりして、たくさんのコラムがあるかもしれませんし、毎日のキャッシュフローであったりするかもしれません。それが何であっても良いのです。あなたはタイムラインを持つことになります。最初にこれ（タイムラインより先）を削除させてください。そのタイムラインの最後に、列を非表示にすることをお勧めします。Ctrl+Shift+右矢印で移動して、Ctrl+0で非表示にします。
Now we have a hard end at the end of this timeline. No matter where I am, when I do Ctrl+Shif+right arrow, I’m stopping here. Now if I use Ctrl+Shift+a, it is going to shoot across, but stop here. That’s why we recommend that when you setup the model, setup the time sheet and the temp sheet first. Because this temp sheet has that hard end at the end of the timeline. So when we copy every other sheet, set up like that. Ok, so figure our your timeline, get your timeline across the model, hide all the columns after the end of your timeline. That way the Ctrl+Shift+macros is going to stop at the same place every time.
今、このタイムラインの最後にハードエンドがあります。どこにいても、Ctrl+Shift+右矢印をすると、ここで止まってしまいます。今度はCtrl+Shift+aをすると、横に撃ちまくりますが、ここで止まります。というわけで、モデルを設定するときは、まずタイムシートとテンプレシートを設定することをお勧めします。なぜなら、このテンプシートはタイムラインの最後にハードエンドがあるからです。他のシートにコピーする時は、このようにセットアップされています。だから、まずタイムラインの範囲を決め、モデル全体に渡ってタイムラインを作成し、タイムラインの終わりの後の列を全て非表示にします。そうすれば、Ctrl+Shift+マクロは毎回同じ場所で停止します。
まとめ
「Ctrl + Shift + a」で横断的にものをコピーすると、エクセル全体（XFD列）までコピーされてしまう点には注意が必要です。これを回避するために、設定するタイムライン以降の列は、Ctrl + Shift +右矢印で範囲選択してCtrl + 0で非表示にしてください。
