Throughout this course, we're going to take things step by step. And in this section, I'm going to focus just on the formatting keystrokes. Later on we're going to talk all about the model structure. 

このコースでは、一つ一つ丁寧に進めていきます。このセクションでは、フォーマットのキーストロークだけに焦点を当てます。その後、モデルの構造についてもお話します。 

We're going to talk about why the input sheet, for example, looks the way it does, how it all works and I am going to go through that bit by bit. Right now  just focused on keystrokes, and in this part, we're going to look at some of the commonly used formatting keystrokes that we use. 

ここでは、例えば入力シートがなぜそのように見えるのか、そしてそれがどのように機能するのかについて、少しずつ説明していきます。今はキーストロークに焦点を当てていますが、このパートでは、私たちが使用する一般的に使用されるフォーマットキーストロークのいくつかを見ていきます。

Alright, so I was going to put in a new input here, first of all input marking Ctrl+Shift+i. That gives me a new input cell. The reason we have all these formats on keystrokes is that we don't have to think about it anymore. We can just do it the same way every time and it also means for working as a team or sharing models and collaborating that everybody's applying the same format to the model and that just keeps things much more professional. 

もしここに新しい入力を入れるとしたら、まず入力マークはCtrl+Shift+i。キーストロークにこれらすべてのフォーマットがあるのは、もう考える必要がないからです。また、チームで作業したり、モデルを共有したりして共同作業をしている場合には、全員が同じフォーマットをモデルに適用することで、よりプロフェッショナルな作業が可能になります。 

Alright, so let's just say I type in a number in here 100. If I want to add decimals to that, then it's pretty horrifying with the Excel ribbon to go and click and add decimals. It’s really super inefficient so those are some of the things we need keystrokes for. So Ctrl+”.“ adds decimal places. Ctrl+”,” removes decimal places. If I had like a factor so a discount factor or an escalation factor, say 1.2. Ctrl+Shift+”.” gives me a factor style. Me use that all the time for escalation factors, discount factors and so on.

ここに100という数字を入力したとします。これに小数を追加したい場合、エクセルのリボンをクリックして小数を追加するのは非常に恐ろしいことです。これは非常に非効率的なので、ショートカットを必要とします。
Ctrl+". "で小数点以下を追加し、Ctrl+", "で小数点以下を削除します。Ctrl+Shift+". "を使うと、係数のスタイルを設定することができます。私はエスカレーション係数や割引係数などにいつも使っています。

Back to default number style. I've also got percentage style Ctrl+Shift+p. Default is to two decimal places so we can change that again Ctrl+”,” and Ctrl+”.” adds and removes those decimal points. Let me clear this out. 

デフォルトの数字スタイルに戻します。パーセンテージスタイルの Ctrl+Shift+p もあります。デフォルトでは小数点以下2桁になっているので、それをもう一度変更することができます Ctrl+"," と Ctrl+"." は小数点以下を追加したり削除したりします。

Dealing with dates. If I were to put in dates, so 1st of January 2020 and hit Enter, I know you see an integer because I'm in that default number style. Excel deals with dates as integers and then just convert them to present the date as a presentation format and that means we can add and subtract dates and so on, which is very useful.

これをスッキリさせましょう。日付の扱い。2020年1月1日というように日付を入力してエンターキーを押すと、整数が表示されます。 エクセルでは日付を整数で処理し、それを変換して日付を表示形式に変換します。

If I want a date style, Ctrl+Shft+l. This gives me date style and that I can toggle between a shorter and longer version of that with the same keystrokes Ctrl+Shift+l. Ctrl+Shift+”,” takes me back to number style. So with a bit of practice it just becomes part of your muscle memory and therefore you don’t have to think about that anymore. And the benefit will be all the formatting will be really consistent throughout your model. Next we're going to look at some of the little mechanics, a little operations that we do time and time again and in a model and how we make that really productive.

日付のスタイルが欲しい場合は、Ctrl+Shift+l。日付のスタイルを与えてくれます。Ctrl+Shift+lをさらに押すと、短いバージョンと長いバージョンの間で選択することができます。
Ctrl+Shift+", "で数字のスタイルに戻ります。少し練習すれば、それはあなたの筋肉の記憶の一部になるので、もうそんなことを考える必要はありません。そしてその利点は、すべての書式設定がモデル全体で一貫したものになるということです。
次に、モデルの中で何度も何度も行う小さな機械的な操作のいくつかを見ていきます。
