吟遊詩人と踊り子
The Minsterl and the Dancer

森を抜けて入った街では鞠音(まりね)の歌声に合わせて瑃(ちゅん)が踊りを披露していた。
彼女らは鈍色(にびいろ)伯爵が言っていた女王の国の宮廷に使えている人物で、
伯爵同様に世界各国をめぐり情報を集めているのだと言う。

その素晴らしい歌と踊り魅了されつつ伯爵のことを伝えると
更に詳しい九鬼(くき)将軍の国への潜入方法を知る人物の居場所をそっと教えてくれた。

After passing through the forest, we came to a town where Chun was dancing to the sound of Marine's singing.
They are people who work at the court of the Queen's country that Earl grey mentioned, and like the Count, they travel around the world gathering information.

We are fascinated by her wonderful singing and dancing and told her about the Count.
They quietly told us the location of someone who knew more about how to infiltrate General Kuki's country.

瑃を見ていた私は、ふと同じ踊り子の美衣(びい)を思い出した。
彼女はどうしているだろうか。

同業者として何か知っているかもしれないと美衣のことを尋ねてみる。
そこで返って来たのは、
美衣は踊り子ではなく傭兵集団の一員であり九鬼将軍の戦乱の手助けをする要注意人物だと言う言葉。

私は思わず言葉を失った。

As I looked at Chun, I suddenly remembered another dancer, B.
I wonder how she's doing.

As a colleague, I asked her about B, hoping she might know something about her.
What came back to me was that B was not a dancer, but a member of a group of mercenaries and a person to watch out for who would help General Kuki in his war.

I was speechless.
