My English essay①

English learning has been inextricably linked for a long time. I have started learning English since I was a university student without going abroad. The last six years have seen the ebb and flow of my English abilities, which makes it possible for me not only to meet numerous inspirational people but also to weather wide variety of hardships.

Soon after entering the university, with placing more expectations on enjoyable university life, my strong desire was that I wanted to get along with many friends and find myself a girlfriend.
Unfortunately, my hope to make the most of my university life went to hell in a handbasket due to a range of factors such as burnout syndrome, my then-stalled human relationship and bullying experience. I'm gradually inclined to skip most classes and shut myself off from the outside world.

But a fortuitous encounter with the psychological counselor enabled me to see the bright light at the end of the murky tunnel. However depressed I felt, she wholeheartedly emboldened me to make substantial progress toward my future. Although I didn't have any friends to talk with, many edifying words she gave me provided me with the strength to soldier on in the throes of this depressing situation.

When I turned the third grade at the university, she urged me to take TOEIC exam. In hindsight, my decision to begin studying TOEIC made a significant difference in my life. My herculean struggle to achieve the goal I set for myself certainly curved out my own future.

Amid the ever so arduous situation, abusive words my fellow members of club activity hurled at me ruthlessly deprived me of my indomitable commitment to accomplishing my goals.
The unyielding perseverance to get a mark of 900 on TOEIC exam and Eiken 1st grade before graduating from the university served as a potent tool to motivate me, with the psychological counselor's poignant words playing a complementary role.

As a result of my continuous efforts to improve my English abilities and her invaluable presence, I could get a mark of 930 on TOEIC exam and Eiken 1st grade before graduation from the university.

After getting through the university, I have been learning English in order to get a full mark on TOEIC and Kokuren Eiken SA grade.(My current TOEIC score is 985.)
Participating in Twitter community of English learners allowed me to connect with wide assortment of people who have diverse backgrounds. Not only has it helped my otherwise abortive dedication to learning English to see the light of the day, but it has also led to a remarkable improvement in my then-smoldering character.
The unshakable fact that our dogged efforts to achieve our lofty goals are hardly onto a winner in the embryonic stage may serve as a major hurdle to the true appreciation of our latent talents.
But there is no more electrifying example than my fellow English learners' mettle to face herculean tasks can be as impressive as benevolent health workers struggling to save invaluable human lives.
