ミカエル、ハリード、エレン、サラ、ウンディーネの5人は、魔王殿の扉を指輪の力で開いて、奥へと進んでいった。エレンが、話し始めた。

「宿命の子が二人いると・・・何が起こるかわからないと、グゥエインは言っていたわ・・・大丈夫なのかしら・・・」

「そうだな・・・しかし、とにかく今はアラケスから少年を助け出すしかないだろう」

ミカエルはこう答えた。

途中、色々なアイテムを入手した。
「隕石のかけら」「白虎の鎧」などなど・・・。

「この隕石のかけらは・・・何か意味があるのかな？」

「さあ・・・とりあえず、持っておこう」

魔王殿の最深部にさしかかり、大きな扉を開けると・・・アビスゲートがあった。

「少年が牢に入れられているぞ！助けないと」

「そうはさせん・・・血を流せ・・・」

巨大な双頭の獣にまたがり、仮面をつけた戦士・・・これがアラケスの幻影だった。戦闘は、ハリードが先陣を切った。

「疾風剣！」

「ぐああ・・・この焼きごてをくらえ！」

「うう・・・熱い！」

「ハリード！」

エレンは、ダメージを受けたハリードを見て、心配になった。なぜか、胸が締め付けられるようだった・・・。

「え・・・なんなの・・・この感じ・・・」

エレンは、ハリードを助けるために、斧をアラケスへと投げつけた。

「ギャア・・・小娘め！この技で全滅させてやる・・・大回転！」

ミカエルたちは、ウンディーネを除いて、全員が大ダメージを受けてしまった。ウンディーネだけは、魔王の盾で防いでいた。

「む・・・その盾は・・・魔王様が持っていた盾・・・この女・・・盾をよこせ！」

「渡すわけがないでしょう」

ウンディーネは、玄武術で仲間の治療をした。

「ありがとう、ウンディーネ」

「私が奥の手を使うから、覚悟なさい・・・クイックタイム！」

ウンディーネが術を使うと・・・アラケスは動きが急に遅くなった。

「今のうちよ！技を決めるのよ！」

「この技は・・・とっておきの技だ・・・くらえ、黄龍剣！」

ハリードは、古より伝わる究極の技をアラケス幻影に命中させた。

「ぐああ・・・くそう、せっかく・・・宿命の子を二人、そろえられると思ったのに・・・」

「アラケス！教えろ・・・宿命の子が二人いると、どうなるんだ？」

「アビスの世界では・・・昔から伝説があり、男女二人の宿命の子が生まれたとき、その二人が力を合わせれば・・・この世界を破壊して、完全にこの宇宙をアビスに染め上げることができると言われているのだ・・・ぐはあ」

アラケス幻影は消滅した。

「エレン、サラは少年を助けに行ってくれ。私はアビスゲートを閉じる」

「わかったわ！」

ミカエルは、アビスゲートの中心にある、光った球体を破壊した。アビスゲートは閉じられた。

「大丈夫・・・ケガはない？」

「うん・・・僕は大丈夫・・・僕のことは、放っておいて！」

「前もそんなことを言っていたけれど、どうしてなの・・・？」

「僕にかかわった人は・・・みんな死ぬんだ・・・僕の両親も・・・僕を助けてくれようとした人も・・・」

「ご両親は亡くなったのね・・・かわいそう・・・私たちと一緒に、最後のアビスゲートを閉じにいかない？」

「でも・・・君たちにも不幸があったら・・・」

「そんなことないって・・・私が証明してあげるわ・・・」

サラの優しい言葉で、少年は仲間になった。

「少年よ、君の名前はなんというのだ？」

「実は・・・僕は・・・自分の名前も覚えていないんだ・・・」

「そうか・・・私たちが名前をつけるのも変だしな・・・しばらく、少年と呼ぶが、かまわないか？」

「はい・・・大丈夫です」

「しかし・・・宿命の子二人が力を合わせると・・・この世は完全にアビスに染め上げられるって・・・最初の宿命の子は魔王、次の宿命の子は聖王・・・邪悪な力と聖なる力が交互に誕生しているのに・・・二人の宿命の子は邪悪な力なのか・・・」

ハリードがこう言うと、エレンが激しく怒った。

「サラがそんなはずないじゃない！サラは、ただ、普通の女の子よ！私の妹よ！」

すると、サラが答えた。
