アラケスとの決戦を終え、アビスゲートを閉じたミカエルたちは、魔王殿から出てきた。すると、トーマスが駆けつけていた。

「トム、どうしたの！？」

「はあ、はあ、ミカエル様やエレンたちが大丈夫かと心配で、俺も加勢しようと駆けつけたんだが・・・」

「もう、戦いは終わったわよ」

「あれ・・・この男の子は・・・」

エレンたちは、トーマスに簡潔に説明した。

ミカエルはこのように話した。

「でも、誰が最強の白虎術を覚えるの・・・ウンディーネは術が得意だけど、玄武術を習得しているから・・・」

「俺が覚えたい。俺も玄武術を覚えているが、玄武術はウンディーネに任せて、俺が最強の白虎術を覚えて戦いたいんだ」

「あと・・・やっぱり、私、トーマスたちについて行くわ。実は、職人たちが戻ってきていて、私がいなくても武器を製造できそうなの。私も、アビスゲートを閉じるのに役立ちたいの」

こうして、再びノーラをパーティに加えたのち、ミカエルたちはランスへ向かった。

「まずは、ヨハンネスの家だ」

ヨハンネスの家にアンナを訪ねて、最強の白虎術を教えてもらった。

「最強の白虎術は、超重力と言います・・・強大な重力で敵を押しつぶす術よ」

「よし、これなら、アウナスとの戦いに有利だな」

トーマスは、最強の白虎術を覚えて、自信を深めていた。

続いて、一行は聖王廟を訪問した。3つの試練があるらしい。一つは弓の試練、一つは意志力の試練、もう一つは「つらい試練」というものだ。

弓の試練はサラと少年、意志力の試練はトーマス、ミカエル、ノーラ、「つらい試練」は、ハリード、エレン、ウンディーネ・・・このようなパーティ編成にした。
