サラ、エレン、トーマス、ウンディーネ、タチアナの5人は、ランスのヨハンネスの家に集まっていた。

みな、顔色は悪く、起こってしまったことに酷く意気消沈しているようだった。口を開く者はだれ一人、いなかった・・・。

そこへ、ヨハンネスがただ一人、言葉を発した。

「あー・・・こんなときなのに、悪い話がある・・・」

「もう、何が起きても大丈夫だ。言ってくれ」

トーマスは答えた。

「アビスゲートは、四つだと思っていたが・・・かすかに反応を検知して・・・あと一つ、東のほうにあるようなんだ・・・」

「ヨハンネス、それは良い知らせだ」

「おい、まさか、少年を助けに東国へ・・・アビスへ行くつもりなのか？！」

「これでお別れだな・・・」

「待て、トーマス・・・サラ、エレンも・・・生きて帰ってこれる保証はないんだぞ！」

「かまわないさ・・・」

トーマスたちは、エレンがアンナから最強の朱鳥術であるリヴァイヴァを習ったのち、ヨハンネスの家を出た。

「しかし・・・東というだけでは・・・手がかりがないよな・・・」

「ねえ、トム、急ぎたいのは私も同じだけど、いったん、宿で休まない・・・アウナスとの戦いで、疲労が限界なの・・・」

エレンの提案で、トーマスたちはランスの宿に泊まった。

その夜・・・サラは不思議な夢をみた。

「ここは・・・砂漠・・・？なにか古いメモがあるわ・・・」

サラはメモを読み上げてみた。

「いつの日か訪れる宿命を背負った者たちへ
　この先にあるのは魔王の仕掛けた罠。
　進んではいけません。
　　　　　　　皆から王と呼ばれるランスの住人より」

「これは・・・聖王の手紙・・・東へは行くなという警告なの・・・？」

その後、真っ暗闇の中に放り込まれた。

「え・・・何？」

「五つ目のゲート・・・」
「お前たちを迎えに行くために私が作ったゲートだ・・・ほかの意味はない」
「宿命の子よ・・・お前の目的地はここだ・・・迷わずに進むがよい」

そのとき、サラは真夜中なのに飛び起きた。

「はあ、はあ、今の夢は・・・聖王と魔王が、私の夢の中に入り込んだというの・・・」

サラがうなされているのに気づき、エレンも目覚めた。

「大丈夫・・・サラ・・・どうしたの？」

「変な夢をみたの・・・」

サラは、夢の内容をエレンに説明した。

「そう・・・明日、みんなにも話して、今後どうするか決めたほうがいいわね・・・」

そう言うと、エレンはまた眠りについた。サラも、眠ることにした。

Sarah, Ellen, Thomas, Undine, and Tatiana are gathered at Johannes' house in Reims.

They all looked pale and very depressed about what had happened. No one opened their mouths...

There, Johannes alone spoke.

"Ah... at a time like this, I have something bad to say..."

"No matter what happens, I'll be fine. Tell me."

Thomas replied.

"I thought there were four Abyss Gates, but I've detected a faint response... and there seems to be one more to the east..."

"Johannes, that is good news."

Thomas and his friends left Johannes' house after Ellen learned Reviva, the strongest vermilion art, from Anna.

At Ellen's suggestion, Thomas and the others stayed at Lance's inn.

That night, Sarah had a strange dream.

Sarah read the note aloud.

"To those who are destined to visit one day. What lies ahead is a trap set by the Demon King. Do not proceed. From the resident of Lance, who is called the king by everyone."

"This... is a letter from the Holy King... a warning not to go east...?"

She was then thrown into pitch darkness.

"Eh... what?"

"The fifth gate..." "The gate I made to pick you up... there is no other meaning." "Child of destiny... your destination is here... Proceed without hesitation"

At that time, Sarah jumped up even though it was midnight.

"Haa, haa, in my dream just now... the Holy King and the Demon King entered my dream..."

Ellen woke up when she noticed that Sarah woke up.

"Are you Okay... Sarah... what's wrong?"

"I had a strange dream..."

Sarah explained the dream to Ellen.

"Yeah... we should talk to everyone tomorrow and decide what to do in the future..."

Saying that, Ellen fell asleep again. Sarah decided to go to sleep too.
