       大学の数は、半分ぐらい統廃合し、残す大学には国費をかけ、授業料の援助を拡充し、行くべき人のみ進学させる。公共の福祉に資する人材のみに投資すべき。奨学金の返済で困る人が多すぎる。能力が無いのに借金までして行く。

「大学に行けば、大学生にふさわしい学力がつく」と考えるのはウソです。現に分数の足し算ができない大学生がいる。「ふさわしい学力があるから、大学に行く」のがあるべき姿。どんな分野でも、プロになれるのは上位の１割程度だということは、経験則で分かっているはず。

　学問・研究に従事できるのは、旧帝・早慶などA,Bランクに合格できる人材だけであるのが現実。Cランク以下の大学に行っても、投資にふさわしいリターンは無い。そこをハッキリ知らせるべき。

　塾で長年指導していると、そう思う。

　It is a lie to think that "if you go to college, you will have the academic ability befitting a college student. In fact, there are college students who cannot add fractions. The ideal situation is to go to college because you have the appropriate academic ability. You know from experience that only the top 10% of students in any field can become professionals.

　The reality is that the only people who can engage in study and research are those who can get into A- and B-rank universities such as the former Imperial University and Waseda-Keio University, etc. If you go to a C-rank or lower university, you will not get a return on your investment. This should be clearly communicated to the students.

　I think so after many years of teaching at cram schools.
