Day 32 : Miso

For those who don’t know about Miso, it should be all Greek to them...

Miso is the essence of Japanese taste, made from beans, fermented, and used for flavoring every foodstuff. Among all, Miso soup is the most typical Japanese taste.

Miso soup usually served every morning and the Japanese people enjoys every different word tastes.

One of your childhood memories should be waking up with the smell of freshly cooked Miso soup by your mother, in Japan.

Each family has their own taste of Miso soup. Mom knows your taste, of course.

My friend, abgk, has been cooking Miso everyday, though he’s not a mother. Well, I apologize that I have said something politically incorrect...

He’s not a mother, and I suppose his wife cooks for him and his kids, so he probably doesn’t have to cook Miso soup everyday but he’s willing to do so, cause that’s his challenge, for 1,000 days.

It ain’t easy for him to cook all the different Misosoup everyday but he’s doing real good!! So check his site.

I am a soup lover and gotta ask him his favorite Miso soup, next time I see him, and I’ll cook that one for me.

Word of the day:
fermented: 発酵した

Quote of the day:
Anyone who tells a lie has not pure heart, and cannot make good soup.
- Ludwig van Beethoven
