Day 168 : Ramen for over ¥1,000

I've been to "Shichisai" several times, and just went there for the first time in a couple years...

I think they raised the pricing. I don't quite remember how much a bowl of ramen was...
Now the normal bowl is ¥1,100.

This is much higher than the average price of Ramen in Japan, which could be around ¥700 to ¥800, I believe.

But I think that is OK.

This place serves you a very good Ramen with the handmade noodle which is just kneaded and cut right before you eat.
That should cost more than the factory-made ordinary noodle.

So that's why people make such a long line to eat there..., even in this cold weather!

This is probably the key to overcome deflation in Japan.
The more value, the higher pricing. That is natural.

We need to think about the value continuously.
By the way, in the US where Ramen is relatively rare and getting popular, the average price is $15 to $20...
