Trust

One day someone told me,
"Look back and thank God
Look forward and trust God"
And this has become my favorite phrase

Trust in others, trust in ourselves, trust in God
Trust is something we all want in life
yet something we hesitate to offer

Because we are scary
Because we are unsure
Because we want something more tangible than trust

It does not come
When you wait for evidence or someone's words
It only comes
When you are ready to accept what is to come

Clear your instinct, for it will be your compass
Hear the voice of your heart, for it will show you the direction
And trust that you will be guided, for you have made it till here

All that has happened to me
Gives me the strength to believe in
With gratitude in mind
Let's trust that I will be led somewhere I am needed
