2001年、東京をバイク便で荒稼ぎしながら池袋でバンド活動していた頃に
上野駅の東口 昭和通りで仕事の待機中に会った立ちんぼ(娼婦)との物語

彼女と私の出会いは、彼女の声かけから始まった。
「お兄さん どう?」
私が仕事の待機中だと断ると「あっそ。じゃあまたね」と踵を返し
近くのコンビニ付近でタバコをふかしながら携帯電話でメールをしていた。
私も、仕事をそのまま待ちながら、携帯で音楽を聴いていた。

時間は22時を回ったあたり。当時は通信技術が現代程に発達しておらず、
芸能関係の編集動画、編集CDを芸能事務所から局やスタジオに持って行ったり。
今ではインターネットですぐに片付くような案件も、当時は物理的にCDRやDVDに記録して、それを誰かが現地へ運ぶ仕事が多かった。

いくら繁盛しているバイク便も、22時となれば一気に仕事が減る
せいぜい、終電間際まで頑張って残業している企業戦士たちの荷物を運ぶ案件が散発するくらい。

その日も至って例外に漏れず暇な夜で、私も長い時間を待機していた。
私は定期的に配送センターに連絡を入れる。

私「お疲れでーす。上野待機でーす。なんか仕事ないっすか。さすがに飽きましたよ~w」

センター「今日はそっち方面に入ってこないんだよねー。でも銀座・築地あたりから入ってくるかもしれないし、リョウちゃんそのまま待ってて♬」

そんな仕事のやり取りをしながらコンビニの握り飯を食べて待っていたら
先ほどの踵を返して向こうへいった娼婦の女性がこちらに近づいてきて
「お兄さんも仕事暇なの?」と話しかけてきた。

彼女の顔をよく見ると厚化粧の奥、左の眼窩には青アザがあった。
殴打痕。誰かに拳骨で殴られた典型的な痕。
化粧で懸命に隠したのだろうけれど、アザを全て隠しきれていなかった。

私「こっちも暇ですよー。おねーさんも暇そうねw」
女性:「そうなのー。全然捕まらなくてさー」

余談だが、今の上野界隈はどうなっているのだろう?
この頃、川崎や上野といえば、この手の女性が多かった。
取り締まりもきつくなっただろうし
もうあの界隈ではたちんぼさんも商売してないかもしれない。

「その左目 どうしたん? アザみえてるよ」
「やっぱわかる? 男とケンカしてさー。」

それから軽く、なぜ殴られるに至ったのか
その男がどのような男なのかを彼女は話してくれた。

彼女が何気なく言った言葉が癇に障って口論となり、男に殴られたこと。
それは日常茶飯事ですっかり慣れてしまったこと。
殴ったあとは心配して優しいこと。
故に、警察に駆け込むこともしなかったこと
男との生活のために多額の生活費が必要なこと

地方出身で、モデル志望で東京にきたこと。
それが上手くいかずに娼婦になったこと

まだ叶うなら、こんな生活から抜け出したいこと
それでも男から離れられない情愛があること。

Take me Higher(私を高みを連れてって)
彼女の言葉の端々から、抜け出したいという想いが溢れていた

「ねーさん、諦めてねえならそんな男と縁を切ってさ。
自分のしたいことをしなよ」

「ね。そうしたいんだけどね。」
そこで彼女の携帯が鳴る。どうやら男からの電話のようだった。

「私。行くわ。ありがとね。」
「いいよ。それよりもよく考えなよ。」

そういうと彼女は微笑を浮かべ、夜の路地裏をハイヒールを鳴らして去っていった。その後ろ姿はモデルを夢見て上京した女性らしく
とても凛として可憐な後ろ姿だった。



あれから上野には定期的に仕事で立ち寄ったが
彼女を再び見かけることはなかった。

男と離れられたのか。
警察に捕まったか。
もっと質の悪い男に振り回されてるのか。
帰郷したのか。

それでも時折、彼女の凛として誇らしいあの後ろ姿を思い出す。
枯れ朽ちて、厭世の果てに命を絶ってないことを願いながら。

以上の3曲で収録されています。
その2曲目を飾ったのが本曲となります。

Hypnagogic Hallucination
(入眠時の幻聴や幻覚が見える覚醒モード)

彼女との出会いは当時21歳の若い私には衝撃的で
暴力を振るう男に対しての憤りは当然のこと、
彼女との対話自体にも刺激的で興奮した時間だった。

故に、今でも鮮明に覚えています。

彼女が抱えた錆びた欲望は、
「果たしきれなかった夢が風化して錆びていた」こと

その錆びた立身欲、出世欲を、殴られて疲れて眠りに落ちる時に
ヒプナゴジックハルシネーションが発症し
「モデルになって成功している自身」を思い浮かべるような
幻覚、幻聴、夢を見たかもしれないと思い、このタイトルに命名しました。

本曲は、当時、実際に体験した話と、空想が合わさった作品です。

ガットギターの柔らかい音が好きです。スティール弦よりも。
このまろやかさが、時代の厳しさを少し優しくしてくれるような。
そんな気がして。
冒頭のガットギターの出だしは、彼女が彼女の記憶を優しく包むところから
始めたかったので、ガットギターを採用しました。

そして夢を見るように、優しくアトモスフィアが包む。
両脇のストリングスが覆う。彼女の抜け出したい願望は
幻聴を生み、様々な声が聴こえる中でも確実に
「誰か、私をここから連れ出して」と聴こえていた。

最後のテナーサックスソロからピアノソロ~終奏までのシーンは

上述の彼女の美しく凛々しい後ろ姿が私から離れて
だんだん遠ざかっていく姿をスローモーションで再生されるようなイメージで描写しました。

本当にね。美しかったんです。そしてとてもかっこよかった。
辛い苦境の中でも、背中を丸めずに、誇りを持って歩いている彼女の後姿に
私は今でも、憧れと異性愛とは違う、そう。尊敬と敬意を払っています。

人は他人が思う以上に、色んな想いを抱えて生きている。
初見、何も不自由なく生きてそうな明るい人にも陰がある。
陰が苦しかったからこそ、体面上、明るく振舞っているだけのこともある。

それが故に、人との人生譚は面白く、交わす盃の美味さも
共に、場所や環境が異なれど、同じような境遇、苦しみを共有できるという
味のスパイスが加わり、交わしあう二人にとって、絶妙な酒の味になる。
それが面白い。人間ドラマの素晴らしさでもあり、儚く悲しい一面でもある。

Production image/story

A story about a stand-up prostitute I met in 2001 while waiting for work at the east exit of Ueno Station, Showa-dori, while I was making rough money in Tokyo by bike delivery and playing in a band in Ikebukuro.

My encounter with her began when she called out to me. "How are you, brother?" When I told her I was waiting for work, she said, "Oh, right. She turned on her heel and went to a nearby convenience store, where she was smoking a cigarette and texting on her cell phone. I was also listening to music on my cell phone while waiting for work.

It was around 22:00. Back then, communication technology was not as advanced as it is today, and I had to take edited entertainment-related videos and CDs from the entertainment office to the bureau and studio. Many projects that can be done quickly over the Internet now were physically recorded on CDRs or DVDs back then, and someone had to carry them to the site.

Even the most prosperous motorcycle delivery service would lose business at 10:00 p.m. At most, there would be a few cases of cargo delivery for corporate warriors who were working overtime until the last train.

That day was no exception. It was a slow night, and I was on call for a long time. I regularly contact the distribution center.

I said, "Good night. I'm standing by at Ueno. Do you have any work for me? I'm tired of it.

Center "No one is coming in that direction today. But they might come in from Ginza or Tsukiji, plz wait for them.

As I was waiting for her, a prostitute who had just turned on her heel and gone to the other side approached me and asked, "Are you free for work, too? I was waiting for her to come back to the convenience store.

When I looked closely at her face, I saw a blue bruise on her left eye socket behind her thick makeup. A bruise. A typical mark where someone had hit her with a fist bone. She must have tried her best to hide it with makeup, but it didn't hide all the bruises.

I said, "I'm free too! The woman: "Oh yeah, I haven't been caught at all. I haven't been able to catch anything at all.

On a side note, I wonder what is going on in the Ueno area today? In those days, Kawasaki and Ueno had many women like this. I wonder if the crackdowns have tightened up and tachimbos may not be doing business in that area anymore.

What happened to your left eye? You can see the bruise. I got into a fight with a guy.

Then she lightly told me why she was beaten up and what kind of man he was.

A casual remark she made got under her skin, an argument ensued, and the man punched her. The incident was an everyday occurrence, and she had grown accustomed to it. After the man hit her, she was worried about him and was kind to him. Therefore, that she did not run to the police as a violent incident.
That she needs a large sum of money to live with the man.

That she was from a rural area and came to Tokyo with the intention of becoming a model. When that didn't work out, she became a prostitute.

If it were still possible, she would like to get out of this life of a prostitute.
That she still has a love for a man that she can't get rid of.

Take me Higher" Her every word was filled with her desire to get out of this place.

I said, " If you're not giving up, get rid of that man. Do what you want to do."

She said, "Yes, I want to. I'd like to do that.
Then her cell phone rang. It seemed to be a call from a man.
"I'm going. Thanks.
"No problem. Think about it."

With that, she smiled and left the back alley at night with her high heels clacking. Her back was very dignified and dainty, like a woman who came to Tokyo dreaming of becoming a model.

I've stopped by Ueno regularly on business since then, but
I never saw her again.

Had she been able to leave the man? Has she been caught by the police? Is she being pushed around by a worse kind of man? Did she go back to her hometown?

Still, from time to time, I recall her dignified and proud backside. I hope that she hasn't died out and taken her life at the end of her pessimistic life.

This EP "Rusty Desire (Rusty Desire)" is composed of

It is recorded with the above three songs. This song was the second of the three.

Hypnagogic Hallucination (a waking mode in which auditory hallucinations and hallucinations are seen when falling asleep) The encounter with her was shocking to me, a young 21-year-old at the time, and not only was my indignation at the violent man a given, but the dialogue with her itself was an exciting and stimulating time. Therefore, I still remember it vividly.

The rusty desire she harbored was "a dream that was unfulfilled and rusty because it had faded away," and that rusty desire to stand up and get ahead, and when she fell asleep after being beaten and exhausted, she developed hypnagogic hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, and dreams that made her think of "herself being a successful model," and she might have dreamed of "herself being a successful model. I named this title because I thought that I might have had hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, and dreams in which I thought of myself as a successful model.

This piece is a combination of a story I actually experienced at the time and my fantasy.

I like the softer sound of gut guitars. Than steel strings. It's like this mellowness makes the harshness of the times a little kinder. I feel like that. I adopted the gut guitar for the beginning because I wanted to start with her gently wrapping her memory around the gut guitar.

Then the atomosphere gently envelops her as if she is dreaming. Strings on both sides cover it. Her desire to get out of the house produced auditory hallucinations, and even among the various voices she heard, she was sure to hear, "Someone, take me out of here. take me higher.

The scene from the last tenor sax solo to the piano solo to the end of the song was described with the image of her beautiful and dignified back figure mentioned above gradually moving away from me, as if it were being replayed in slow motion.

And when she left, her posterior was really beautiful. And she was so cool. I still look at the back of her head as she walks proudly, not rounding her back in the midst of a difficult predicament, and I am not admiring and heterosexual, yes. I have respect and admiration for her.

People live with many more feelings than others think. At first glance, even bright people who seem to live without any inconvenience have their shadows. Sometimes they are only acting cheerful for physical reasons because they have suffered in the shadows.

This is why life stories with people are so interesting, and the sake we share with each other tastes exquisite, with the added spice of being able to share similar circumstances and sufferings, despite the differences in location and environment. That is what makes it interesting. It is both a wonderful and sad aspect of human drama.
