This is the English translation of the very popular blog article 「バンドマンがBTSの『dynamite』で脳トレした話 (I, a band-man trained my brain with Dynamite)」which is written by riddletkhr.

Riddletkhr, the writer of the original article is a vocalist/guitarist at a rock band called RIDDLE. He is not familiar with BTS at all, but he tried to identify the members of BTS by watching the MV of Dynamite.

This has actually gone viral among Japanese ARMY last month. So I translated this so that ARMY all over the world can enjoy it. Hope you like it!

I am recently interested in BTS.
Very recently. I heard they were on the Billboard chart at No.1, and I started to listen to their songs. You can see how new I am.

To be honest, I thought that BTS and BangTan (*Korean pronunciation of BTS) and 防弾少年団(*How we call BTS in Japanese) were different groups, and that G-DRAGON was a member of BTS.

But I had seriously deepen the love for Dynamite, every time I hear this song on TV or radio.

Now, I have plenty of time because most of my concert are cancelled recently.

So, I decided to listen to dynamite conscientiously, which is so hot with the big achievement at Billboard.
And why don't we pay attention for the members? This is a good chance for that.

These days I've been feeling that my brain is getting aging, and now I understand my dad saying "I can't identify young actors, all of them look the same for me." But I wanna fight for that. I definitely remember the name and the face of them. With a such determination, I clicked on the music video of Dynamite!

The structure of this song is simple. Just a loop of a verse and a chorus.

Okay, the first verse.
A middle-part man gulps down a cup of milk,

He is so handsome! He is what is called the face of the BTS, right? Just like Takuya Kimura (*a member of SMAP) or Jun Matsumoto (* a member of Arashi).

But please finish your milk that you touched your mouth.

Well, let's call him "Milk."

The next scene is the one at a record shop.
He is so distinguishable with his short hair. I guess he acts a naughty character in the group. Just like Koki Tanaka (*former member of KAT-TUN), maybe?

then I understood that he was not Milk.

But I could remember him effortlessly because his clothes and dance were distinctive. I like his dance and clothes which are similar to Okamura Yasuyuki's one (*Japanese singer).

I decided call him "Mr. Funk and Soul" following his impressive lyrics.

Who is next?

Glasses again. Never forgive you guys

It's time for my brain to reach its capacity.
As he is wearing loose clothes,

I call him "Baggy."

Ahhh, my dear Short hair. You are the only one who I can identify. You make me relax. Love you.

Hmm, is he Milk? Glasses? Or new one?
But I know that BTS has 7 members, so considering the length of this video, maybe he is the new one.

I cannot grasp his point at a glance,

But just call him "Sekaowa."

(*Sekaowa is the abbreviation of the Japanese group "Sekai no Owari." I strongly recommend you to google it because the vocal is really resemble Suga lol)

If we look carefully, Glasses is not wearing glasses anymore, and also they've changed clothes frequently.
