私が買ったもの　：　その４　SONYウォークマンSシリーズ 及び NW-F885

前回に紹介したアイリバージャパン　iFP-500T を５年使った後、２００９年に買ったのが、SONY ウォークマン Sシリーズでした。
容量８ＧＢで小さいスピーカーも付属で約２万円でした。iFP-500T　２５６ＭＢがたぶん３万円くらいだったので、とても安くなりました。

容量もさることながら、このウォークマンには、iFP-500Tにはない、３つの機能がありました。
一つ目は、ノイズキャンセリング機能のついたイアフォンがついていたことです。さすがに、ＢＯＳＥのQuietComfort 20　ほどの性能はありませんでしたが、それでも当時通勤で乗っていた、ＪＲ宇都宮線の車内では、まずまず使えました。

二番目は、SONYのブルーレイレコーダーに録画したテレビ番組を、このウォークマンにコピーし、再生できるという機能でした。画面は小さいのですが、アニメくらいなら十分見えました。たとえば、『魔法少女まどか☆マギカ』などのアニメを。

三番目は、カセットデッキにつないで、テープに録音した曲をコピーできることでした。これのおかげで、たまっていたカセットテープを処分することができました
ただし、ファイル形式がＯＭＡという、SONY特有の形式だったため、後で少し苦労することになるのですが、それについては、また別のところで書きます。

この後も、SONYは毎年新製品を出し続けて、画面がだんだん大きくなりました。それに魅かれて２０１３年に買い替えたのが、NW-F885というAndroid型のウォークマンでしたが、率直に言って、残念な機器でした。

２０１１年に、iPod touch　を買って使っていたのですが、NW-F885は操作性などかなり見劣りがしました。特にそれ以上付け加えることはありません。

この２台のウォークマンは、sofmapで売却しました。

What I bought: Part 4 SONY Walkman S series and NW-F885

After using the iRiver Japan iFP-500T introduced last time for 5 years, I bought the SONY Walkman S series in 2009.
It had a capacity of 8GB and included a small speaker for about 20,000 yen. The iFP-500T 256MB was probably around 30,000 yen, so it was very cheap.

In addition to the capacity, this Walkman had three functions that the iFP-500T did not have.
The first was that it had an earphone with a noise canceling function.
As expected, it was not as good as BOSE's QuietComfort 20, but it was still usable on the JR Utsunomiya Line, which I was commuting to work at that time.

The second was the ability to copy TV programs recorded on Sony's Blu-ray recorder to this Walkman and play them back.
The screen is small, but I could see enough for anime.For example, anime such as "Puella Magi Madoka Magica".

Third, I was able to connect to a cassette deck and copy the songs recorded on tape.
Thanks to this, I was able to dispose of the accumulated cassette tape.
However, since the file format was OMA, which is a Sony-specific format, I will have a little trouble later, but I will write about it elsewhere.

After this, SONY continued to release new products every year, and the screen became bigger and bigger. I was fascinated by it and bought a new one in 2013, which was an Android Walkman called NW-F885.
Frankly, it was a disappointing device.
I bought an iPod touch in 2011 and used it, but the NW-F885 was not so good in terms of operability.
