◎世界中で昆虫の数が減っているという。昆虫は地球上の生態系で重要な役割をしている。動物に捕食されたり、植物に受粉させたり、土壌を豊かにしたり。

◎気候変動が昆虫の量を減らす原因となっているという話だが、単純にそうとも限らないように思う。温暖化で大発生する昆虫もあるだろうし、これまでの生態系とは変わったとしても、この地球を支配している昆虫には多様性があり、個々の種によっては悪い影響を受けたとしても、他の種では繁栄に結びつくのかもしれないと思う。
