☆Brood X；アメリカ東部で定期的に出現する周期ゼミの集団の一つ。2021年に出現した。

◎獣医である主人公がNYに赴任して、最も記憶に残ったのは17年周期に大発生する周期ゼミ。2021年に出現した。16州で数兆匹が発生したという。

◎パンデミック下で最も記憶に残ったのがセミの大発生とは、相当な昆虫好きなのか？相当な騒音だったいうし、実際に自分の家の周りで発生したとすれば怖いだろうな。
