アメリカの言語学者の研究によると、アメリカ人にとって日本語は世界で最も困難な言語に該当するとの報告がある。そして痛感せざるを得ない場面は多々ある。
Various American linguists announced that Japanese language must be one of the most difficult one to them around the globe, and this idea sometimes has brought home to me at many situations or circumstances.

先日のこと、勤める学習塾で生徒に「接触節」を説明する機会があったのだが、彼らにはかなり理解が難しかったようで、名詞と主語と動詞がひと塊になる構造だ。
The other day, there was an opportunity for me to explain “contact clause” to a high school student at the cram school we work for, which seemed extremely difficult for him to understand.
This grammatical system seems to have a little complex and complicated structure.
A noun exists, a subject comes and a verb is placed, the order of which we aren’t accustomed to so far.

実はこの難解な文法事項を高校の英語の授業で習った記憶はない。これを中学生に習得しろという方に無理がある。大学の時に関係詞の省略で習ったような気がする。
In fact, the memory is absent from my mind that this difficult grammatical item was taught to me in the class at my high school, so it must be challenging for him to figure it out because there might have been a lecture where we were offered the explanation about “contact clause” in my university period.

アメリカ人が日本語を難解だと考えるなら、逆も同じで、つまり日本人が英語を難しいと思うのは当然のことだ。だが早期英語教育はこどもの日本語がおかしくならないか。
Ordinary American people consider Japanese language difficult to understand, if it is the truth, and vice versa.
We Japanese naturally find it difficult to speak English or listen to English a native speaker utters.
But children might fail to master Japanese language well when English is forced to be a required subject at an elementary school, which must not be fulfilled by the educational committees.

ただ従順に従う労働者を作るには、英語は最適かもしれない。ランクづけがしやすいからだ。粘り強くコツコツと強制される勉強ができるイコール英語だからだ。
But English might be the most appropriate subject  when the major prifitable enterprises or corporations want to produce obedient laborers because they could rank workers between the superiors and the inferiors.
Those who can make earnest efforts to study English might be judged as obedient potentials by controllers.

だが英作文を続けていると、日本語も読みやすくなった。内容も政治的かつ経済的ないものが多いからだ。好きになると違う。強制は自尊心を奪われるよね。
But my ability to interpret a sentence written in English has been improved since English composition became my routine in recent days, and they contain something political and economic.
The situation is likely to change when we come to like something, but our pride never fail to run away fast when we are forced to do something meaningless or burdensome.

This reason makes the question titled above favorable.
