初めて日本を出て海外に行ったのは、大学４年の卒業直前の３月だった。サイパンなので３時間で着くし、少し日本語も通じるし、そもそも日本人がたくさんいる。
1987 is the unforgettable year, when I left Japan to go overseas for the first time just before the graduation of university, my age was 22.
It took my flight only three hours to visit Saipan by air, and we can make ourselves understood in Japanese, and numerous Japanese tourists visit there, which didn’t make me find myself a foreigner from Japan.

向こうではスキューバダイビングもできたし、本物の拳銃を撃つこともできた。真っ黒に日焼けして日本に戻ったので、シャワーが冷たかった。一種の火傷だったのだと思う。
Scuba diving was enjoyable, and shooting with a real gun was exciting to me, which I can remember now.
I returned to Japan with my skin tanned, so a shower water was too cold to my burned physical body.
