日本に住む若者は６年間ほど英語を学習する。大学に行く者は10年間かもしれない。しかしほとんどは全く話せない。英語教育が無駄な時間としか思えないのだ。
Most people in Japan study English for six years when they are students, and perhaps they might do so for ten years in the case that they go to a college.
Nevertheless, they cannot have an ability to use English well after graduating from school, which means that this six years’ study seems useless and helpless.

そもそも英語はアメリカから押し付けられたものである。アメリカが日本を支配するために、英語は日本語よりも優れたものであると洗脳する必要があった。
In the first place, English is something America forced Japan to introduce into educational curriculum, which means that it is not a vital tool to survive on earth.
America needed to make Japan believe that English is linguistically superior to Japanese so that they could control our country as the last colony.
Thus, Japan was completely brainwashed by them.

English became a must as a linguistic subject, and citizens who want to enter an elite university and an established corporation must gain high scores on English examination.
They could obtain a positive reputation when they study abroad and gain an ability to command English.

そこまでは功を奏しているかもしれない。しかしアメリカは見誤っている。基本的に英語を習得するのは日本人には不可能に近い。両者は余りにも違い過ぎるのだ。
America might have made it so far, but we cannot safely say that they have completely been successful about the strategy described above.
It seems basically impossible for people in Japan to use English well because it is absolutely different from Japanese in a linguistic viewpoint.

まずは文字が違う。語順も違う。発音も違う。単語の意味も違う。何もかもが違う。そもそも英語など分からなくても日本では普通に生活できて支障がない。
As we know, letters are different, so is word order, so is pronunciation, so are words’ meanings and so on.
Originally, we can lead a common life without English, which means that people who aren’t good at it shouldn’t have any obstacles and anything troublesome in our daily life.

習得が難しいので、テストの点は差がつきやすい。学生を選別する手段としては優れている。英語を教える立場にいる者もこういうことは知っておいた方が良い。
Some students can gain high scores on tests, and while others cannot get them because not all of them can understand English grammar and sentences written in it.
This language is an excellent tool because its exam can distinguish a superior from an inferior, so that there is a huge difference between them.
English teachers in our society should take this situation seriously.
