激しい雨が降り出して何日かが過ぎた。いわゆる集中豪雨である。毎年だが10年前に職場の近くで発生した大惨事を思い出す。数10人が土砂崩れで亡くなった。
A few days have passed since we had too heavy rain called “concentrated rain storm” or “intensive heavy rain,” which never fail to remind me of a catastrophe in the neighborhood close to my workplace in 2014, when not a few ordinary citizens were killed by a sudden landslide disaster.

バックドラフト現象という専門用語を知ったのは初めてだった。友人が被害にあったこともあり、車で荷物運びを手伝った。大いに感謝してくれた記憶あり。
We heard the technical term “back draft phenomenon” for the first time, which was the main cause that soil and sand disaster killed many victims.
A friend of mine in need asked us to help him to carry something important to his relative’s house, so we followed his request with my new car, which became dirty with such a challenging task.

Collection of everyone’s small efforts could protect our precious earth from global warming phenomenon : this slogan is too beautiful and wonderful, but the reality seems tough and challenging to us.
All of us never fail to carry out our small duty only when saving electricity or recycling used goods could make a difference to improve the current critical situation.

日本の国会議員が国際会議で「問題はセクシーに解決する」とか言って失笑を買ったこともあった。こういう人でも総理大臣になりそうだから日本は危うい。
A Diet member from Japan has once gained a small laugh at the international conference because he said that Japan solves the issue in the sexy method.
Even a Diet member like him is likely to become the next prime minister of Japan, which makes us disappointed or irritated all over Japan, perhaps.
After all, Japan remains as a colony of America forever.

Today’s night match our favorite baseball team play in would be canceled due to heavy rain, but both a closer and a set upper looked exhausted three days ago, so this weather condition might be convenient for them.
