Falcon heavy in 3 minutes

STP-2 MISSION

On June 25th, 2019, Space X launched “Falcon Heavy” with 24 satellites. This mission is to put these satellites in 3 orbits.

↑ I have seen it. It's 2:30 midnight but it's like daytime.

This is the third launch of Falcon Heavy. Although the main booster landing failed, the side booster reused from the previous mission has landed safely at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base.

↑ Moment of side booster landing.

By the way, the rocket launch service agreement was taken up before, but to understand the details of the launch service agreement, we must know the rocket itself. So, this time I will take up Falcon Heavy itself.

What is Falcon Heavy in the first place?

Falcon Heavy is the world's largest rocket manufactured by SpaceX in the United States.
3 boosters are connected, and each booster is equipped with 9 clustered engines, for a total of 27 engines.
All 3 boosters return to the ground and can be reused.
Launch point "Launch Complex 39A" where Falcon Heavy is launched is a historic and traditional launch point where SaturnV equipped with Apollo11 and Space Shuttle are also launched. Currently used by Space X.

↑ The launch day. The reused side booster remains 'black'.

Past missions

1st Test Flight
A test flight took place on February 6, 2018. Instead of the artificial satellite that we imagine, the car “Roadster (Tesla)” owned by Elon Musk and the doll “Starman” wearing a space suit were installed. The roadster has been put into the solar orbit and the side booster has successfully landed on the ground. The Center Core tried to land on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” but failed.

2nd Arab Sat Commercial Launch
The 2nd commercial launch was the launching of the Saudi Arabian satellite Arabsat 6A. Both the center core and side booster were successfully landed.
However, the center core collapsed on the way back to land. It is regrettable.

3rd STP-2
This is the first nighttime launch for the Falcon Heavy, and the mission is to place a total of 24 satellites in 3 orbits.
Even if you can do this with a single launch, you can see the specs of Falcon Heavy (the amount and power that can be loaded).
An easy-to-understand feature of this mission is that the side boosters used during the Arab Sat mission were reused and the first night launch. The landing of the center core has failed, but the side booster has landed safely and has succeeded in collecting the fairing (the tip of the satellite storage) by a ship on the net caught by the net.
The installed satellites are mainly experimental satellites, but this article is easy to understand (Japanese article...).

Future mission
A manned launch using the “Dragon Spacecraft” is planned, but the launch is in Falcon9.

How match?
$ 90 million on the web.
The payload limit that can be loaded is 63,800kg up to LEO, 26,700kg up to GTO, and 16,800kg up to Mars.

Conclusion

Regardless of space law, rules have practical needs (called legislative facts). There are practical tasks such as rocket production / launch, satellite management, and satellite data handling, and the “Space Law” is a tool for solving problems that need to be sorted out during operation. Preceding rules can have a negative impact on practice. To deepen your understanding of space law, we need to understand rockets and satellites themselves.

Comic “Princess Mission”

I've written so far without touching the manga at the beginning. The rocket has become a pretty girl! !
Because it is a rocket manufactured by a mega-venture company, it has the image of a “princess”, and it has a strong image of the company's mission.
Her signature phrase is “Of Course I Still Love You”. Let's look forward to the day when Center Core returns safely to the land.

This manga was created by Pox, who belongs to the “Anman Salon” online salon run by JAPANESE THE MOST GENIUS AND BEAUTIFUL GIRLS MANGA ARTIST Anju-sensei who was born in Showa era.
I am always grateful for your help!

In fact, the character design is also created prior to the creation of the manga.

The liquid oxygen around the rocket looked like a dress, so it looked like this! Be light after the side booster is cut off!
Thank you very much!
