Tesla entering AC market in 2021? Daikin, opportunity or a threat?

- Telsa aims to enter the Air Conditioner market: Daikin (6367.JP) is trading near all-time high (PER 50x-), benefiting from "stay-home" demand and high market share in home AC market.

Elon Musk back in September "That's (AC business) is project I'd love to get going on, (possibly) start working on that next year".
At this juncture, it is unknown if this is going to be a threat to current players (ie; Daikin, Gree, Mit Elec, Carrier, etc), or a tie-up opportunity (Daikin has a tie-up with Gree, for example)

Hearing and AC system account 30-40% of energy consumed at a household, utilizing Tesla's battery to mitigate this, to me makes sense.

Note....Tesla stepped into home batteries business in Japan earlier this year. 

Daikin is trading at all time highs!
