The Best Video Service for Learning English

Watching videos and movies in English is one of the most common and effective ways to learn English. Watching those allows you to be accessible to real English in the easiest way in your daily life. Without those, I would have never been able to get this level of my English now. 

So today, I would like to introduce one of the best video services that I truly love from the bottom of my heart and have been using for years to improve my English. 

It is "TED Talks." I think if you ever tried to learn English seriously, you probably have heard of that before, but just in case, TED talk is a world-famous video sharing service that gives international talks presented by expert speakers on Tech, Education, Business, Economics, Science and more. 

I'm gonna share three reasons why I think TED Talks is extremely helpful for improving your English. 

1.All videos are under 20 minutes long. 
How long can you stay focused while you watch an English video? It is energy-consuming to watch a video in the second language trying to understand its content.

When I first watched an hour-and-half long English movie, it took me a week to finish understanding its content and pick up all the phrases and words that I had unknown yet. 

So, it is a good way to start with shorter one on Ted talk. There's also a lot of under five-min long videos too. 

2.Many videos have subtitles and transcripts in both English and Japanese. 

If you go to the website, choose one video, and press transcript, you can choose a language for the transcript. For sure, it's switchable to another language. Can you imagine how helpful it is? You no longer have to google by yourself. You just press a button to get the meaning. It is so timely efficient. 

3.You can enjoy watching tons of inspiring, entertaining, and life-lesson videos for free. 

If you watch a video, you want to watch something funny or valuable to you even if its purpose is to study English. TED talks allows you to do that. 

You can pick up almost any kinds of topics on TED talks such as chat GPT, environmental issues, jobs on social media, or something like that. so you should be able to find something you like. One of my favorite TED talks is this.
