文章に過去形の単語は一つのみ♪
それを踏まえて・・・didの後は現在形

A. What did John do yesterday?
B. He went to the movies.
A. Oh, who did he go to the movies with?
B. Nobody. He went to the movies by himself.

A.　ジョンは何をしていたんだい？
B.　彼は映画に行っていたよ。
A.　おお、彼は誰と映画に行ったんだい？
B.　誰とも、彼は一人で映画に行ったんだよ。

movies　映画館なので複数形

●補足問題

彼は映画に一人で行きますか？　
　＝Did he go to the movies by　himself?
    = Did he go to he movies  alone?

彼はいつも一人で映画に行きます。
　＝Does he always go to he movies by himself?

彼は一人で映画を観るのが好きなんです。
　＝He likes to see a movie alone.

※see = 目を開けていれば見える感じ（大画面）。
 　watch =注目する感じ（家のテレビなど）

※like の後の"to"の説明は次回・・・
　軽く調べたけど諸説色々あったので調べるのは辞め今度に期待

●補足問題

◎「彼女は最初から一人でサーカス行く予定でしたか？」
　【変換】→「彼女は一人映画に行きたかったのですか？」
　＝Did she want to go the circus alone?
　＝Was she going to go to the circus by herself?

※want to ～「～したい」
※going to～又は略してgonna「～するつもり」
※want（うぉんと） と　went（うぇんと）を勘違いしないこと
※lonely =寂しい　例文：I feel lonely 「私は寂しさを感じる」

◎「彼女の旦那さんが来れなくなっちゃった。」
 =Her husband couldn't come.  

※couldn't came 「これない」　
　＝過去に、来ることができなった

B.　彼らはセーリングにいきました。

3. you and your wife / have a picnic

B. We had a picnic.

B. Nobody. We had a picnic by ourselves.

A.　アナタと奥さんは昨日何してたの？
B.　私たちはピクニック行ってた。
A.　おお、誰とあなた達はピクニックに？
B.　だれとも、私たちは自分らだけでピクニックに行きました。

「何処に行ったの？」　＝Where did you go?

※Where were you going?
　 =「（〇〇している間）何処に行ってたの？」

●例文
「あなた達は何処に行ってたの？」
　＝You guys had a picnic by yourselves, right?

※You guys　＝「あなた達」
