●ファラ・アトリエについて
ファラ・アトリエはポルトガルの建築事務所です。自ら、"naive"=「うぶ」であると紹介していますが、実際に彼らはとても若く、事務所も2013年にできたばかりです。
ファラ・アトリエのドローイングは鮮やかで詩的です。ところで、ポスト・デジタル世代の一つの潮流として、鮮やかなドローイングをメディウムとした、引用・参照を多用する手法があると私は感じています。ホックニーの絵みたいに。詳しくは今度また書こうと思います。
ファラ・アトリエの三人は、全員が東京の事務所で働いた経験があります。レクチャーの09:45から日本での経験の素晴らしさについて言及しています。コルビジェ・ライト・ロッシ・オルジャティにとっても重要な場所であったと彼は語っています。
●抜粋箇所
今回抜粋したいのは、日本についての語りのあと、11:23からの部分です。ファラが参照や引用を用いる理由が、さっぱりと語られています。私たちのアイデアは発明ではない、というのは、先日紹介したトム・エマーソンの思想にも近いものがあります。

パンテオンとストックホルムの図書館を参照し、その２つをただ混ぜた。そしたら奇妙な物体ができた。
When we do our first project, we were very literal about it we were asked to design a library in a very vague plot and stupa. And we took of course the main the library we the first library that came to our mind that was asked from the library in Stockholm. And we took the Pantheon and we just mix them together, so we just took two masterpieces we decided to a strike him a bit and create a very strange object. I don't think anyone reads the Pantheon here, but we were young and this idea of appropriation and this idea of stealing from our references and applying again over and over again was still at the start. We were not in control completely of our capacity, so we were just trying to experiment but it was a very radical project and we were very happy with it.
