Evidence Synthesisの種類

エビデンス統合とは、複数の研究からの結果を特定、選択、および組み合わせる方法を指します 。方法論の選択については、レビュー方法論の決定ツリーを参照してください。 エビデンス統合の種類には次のようなものがあります。

Systematic Review：系統的レビュー

あらかじめ定められた明確な手順（プロトコル）に従って、特定のテーマに関する既存の研究を網羅的に収集、評価、統合する手法です。介入の効果を明らかにすることを目的とする場合が多く、信頼性の高いエビデンスを導き出すことを目指します。ただし、時間と労力を要し、完了までに数ヶ月から数年かかることもあります。

Literature (Narrative) Review：文献レビュー

広範なテーマを対象とし、標準化された方法論に従わないレビューを指します。検索戦略、網羅性、対象期間などは多様で、明確な手順は定められていません。

Scoping Review：スコーピングレビュー

系統的レビューと同様に、明確な手順に従って既存の研究を網羅的に収集・分類しますが、介入の効果の検証ではなく、研究領域の全体像の把握や研究の空白領域（まだ明らかになっていない領域）の特定を目的とします。系統的レビューのように結果の統合は行いませんが、既存のエビデンスを批判的に評価することがあります。系統的レビューよりも時間と労力を要する場合があります。

Rapid Review：ラピッドレビュー

系統的レビューの手法を時間的制約のある状況下で適用するレビューです。検索用語の制限など、方法論的な「ショートカット」を採用することで、短期間で結果をまとめることができます。ただし、バイアスが生じるリスクも考慮する必要があります。政策提言など、迅速な意思決定が必要な問題に対処する際に有用です。

Umbrella Review：アンブレラレビュー

特定のテーマに関する複数の系統的レビューを対象に、それらを統合・分析する手法です。従来の系統的レビューよりも広範なテーマを扱うことが多く、複数の介入方法を比較検討する際に特に有用です。

Meta-analysis：メタアナリシス
複数の量的研究の結果を統計的に統合し、より高い精度で効果量を推定する手法です。客観的なデータに基づいて結果を評価、統合、要約することができます。メタアナリシスは、系統的レビューの一部として実施される場合と、独立して（SRを行わずに）実施される場合があります。

これらの手法は、研究の目的や性質、利用可能な資源などを考慮して、適切なものを選択する必要があります。
