(Genesis 14:20) “And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.” 
(創世記14:20）「あなたの敵をあなたの手に渡されたいと高き神は幸いである。彼はすべての什分の一を彼に与えた。

Not too many of God’s children have an awareness of their total dominion in their sphere of operation. Well in Christ Jesus you have total dominion. What usually happens is other forces may want to challenge your power or dominion. That is not wrong according to the Bible for the Scripture tells us, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). But in all these, it is wrong to be defeated. To maintain your dominion there are things you must do. Some are walking in the light of God’s Word, maintaining a life of prayer and fasting, worshipping the Lord in the company of other Christians, and others. In our theme Scripture, Abraham did one act that ensured he gained total dominion over his enemies. Several kings teamed up and defeated the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah. Unfortunately, his nephew, Lot was taken captive. When Abraham heard the news about Lot, he gathered his armed men numbering about three hundred and eighteen. These men fought with the captors of Lot and defeated them. These were very powerful nations with strong armies, yet Abraham defeated them and saved Lot. After defeating the captors of Lot, Abraham gave offerings and tithes of all that he got in that battle (Genesis 14:1-20).

It is interesting to note that after this war Abraham never went to another war like this. He quietened the wars in his life and those around him with his tithes and offerings. The word translated “delivered” in our theme Scripture means “to cause your enemies to surrender to you”. That’s why God said, if we challenge Him with our tithes “I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So, that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field” (Malaki 3:10-12). That’s akin to causing our enemies to surrender to us daily. Ask the Holy Spirit to grant you a heart of giving today. Add that with previous tithes you have tithed you are going to see the blessings that come with it in your life today. Halleluyah! 
興味深いことに、この戦いの後、アブラハムは二度とこのような戦争をしなかった。彼は、自分の人生と周囲の人々の戦争を、その什分の一と献金によって静めたのである。今回のテーマ聖句で「引き渡した」と訳されている言葉は、「敵を降伏させる」という意味である。だから神は、もし私たちが什分の一を捧げて神に挑むなら、「わたしは、あなたがたのために、食い物を食い荒らす者を戒める。それは、敵を日々私たちに降伏させることに似ている。今日、聖霊に捧げる心を与えてください。これまでの什分の一と合わせて、今日のあなたの人生に祝福がもたらされるように。ハレルヤ！

Confession: I have gained total dominion in Christ Jesus, and I maintain this dominion with my tithes and offerings. I refuse to give grudgingly in the house of God. And I reap the benefits of my tithes. By my tithing I have quietened the wars in my life. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.
