Precautions for cosplay event "OtaCos"

Please refrain from shooting in front of aisles, doors, or shop entrances.

When using a tripod or placing luggage during shooting, please ensure it does not obstruct the passage.

Please refrain from shooting in dangerous passage, such as outside the designated cosplay area or within plantings.

We strictly prohibit any shooting aimed at cosplayers' underwear. Do not touch cosplayers. In the event such actions are discovered, we will promptly report them to the local police station. If you have been a victim or witnessed such behavior, please report it to the nearest staff member without hesitation.

Please do not submit or publicly share the photographs without the model's permission,including posting Facebook and LINE and any other SNS.

We may ask to review the content of the photographs at the discretion of the staff.

It is strictly prohibited to use the materials captured during shooting for commercial purposes or for-profit use without the organizer's permission (regardless of individuals or corporations).

Shooting videos, video calls that include non-participants, and using live streaming applications without permission are prohibited.

Request regarding personal belongings (carts, bags, etc.):

Please use the changing rooms provided at the Bankyo Figure Museum for changing clothes. After changing, please deposit your belongings at the designated "cloakroom" within the Bankyo Figure Museum.

We kindly ask that you keep your valuables such as wallets and cards with you at all times and refrain from depositing them in the "cloakroom" for security purposes.

Please note that organizing or rearranging your belongings within the "cloakroom" is not allowed (as it may be mistaken for theft) and there have been incidents of theft during events. When taking shooting, please keep a close eye on your personal belongings.

Leaving your belongings unattended in the Bankyo Figure Museum studio or other areas is prohibited. Our staff may collect any unattended items as lost property.

Please be aware that neither the organizers nor the facility can be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or incidents that may occur within the event venue.

Notes on Cosplay Costumes and Props

While cosplay of all genres is allowed, the following costumes and props are strictly prohibited:

Uniforms of public servants such as police officers, self-defense personnel, firefighters, security guards, etc.

Military uniforms that are currently in use or have been used in the past (Hetalia is allowed).

Costumes with extremely high levels of exposure or those that may cause discomfort to other attendees.

Decorations with long, sharp thorns or any other dangerous elements that may cause harm to others.

Sprays, paints, wet fake blood, uncovered wires, etc., that may damage or soil the venue are prohibited (the use of fake blood is allowed in some designated shooting areas, such as wooded areas).

Weapons such as knives, swords, scythes, ice picks, box cutters, etc., as well as metal pipes.

Functional airsoft guns, electric guns, or any other firearms.

Spiked or metal-soled boots that may cause damage to the venue.

Any other costumes or props deemed inappropriate by the organizers and staff.

Please adhere to these guidelines for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Restrictions on Cosplay Costumes and Props

During the Otacos event, there are certain restrictions and prohibitions on costumes and props. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

For costumes with high levels of exposure, please wear a covering garment when not actively taking photos or during movement.

Props resembling dangerous objects should be stored in bags or other containers when not actively taking photos or during movement.

Cross-dressing by men in costumes that may potentially create a sense of intimidation or discomfort for the audience is prohibited.

Group performances, coordinated movements as a group, and group activities outside of designated photo shoots are not allowed.

Please consider wearing a covering garment that conceals your costume to a reasonable extent when not taking photos.

Changing clothes outside of the designated dressing rooms and using nearby shops or restrooms for that purpose is not allowed.

Cosplaying outside the designated event area (please refer to the attached map) is prohibited.

Bringing props longer than 200cm into the photo shoot area is prohibited.

If using props that resemble dangerous objects, please ensure the safety of those around you. When not actively taking photos, please store such props in bags or cases. Please note that our staff may ask questions or provide instructions regarding the use of such props for safety reasons.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Attention Regarding Vehicles

When using the patrol vehicles, for safety purposes, we may need to temporarily hold certain parts of costumes or props as necessary to prevent any potential dangers.

Other Notices

Please keep your valuables with you and take responsibility for their management. The organizers and staff are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, including items left unattended during photography sessions. Please be mindful of this when leaving your belongings unattended.

Long-term occupation of tables and chairs in shared spaces, as well as sitting on the floor, is strictly prohibited.

Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas. All other areas are non-smoking.

Any commercial advertising activities, such as distributing flyers without prior approval, conducting surveys or scouting, are strictly prohibited.

Our staff constantly patrols the venue. Please follow their instructions and guidance.

Underage drinking and smoking are prohibited by law.

Any nuisance, violent or dangerous behavior, acts of destruction, or incidents of harassment will be reported to the police, and the individuals involved will be asked to leave the event, regardless of whether they are regular attendees or participants. If you witness such incidents or become a victim, please notify a nearby staff member immediately.

Engaging in unwelcome advances or harassment (namely, "Nanpa" in Japanese) will result in expulsion. If you witness such behavior or are a victim, please inform a nearby staff member.

Please note that the dressing room and the entire premises of the  Bankyo Figure Museum must be vacated by 6:00 PM. Please plan accordingly.

We kindly request that you do not engage in any behavior that may spoil the dreams of children attending the event.

When participating in the event, please refrain from actions that may tarnish the image of characters, such as drinking or smoking while cosplaying heroes or characters from anime.

Many children who deeply adore the characters will be attending the event. We ask for your cooperation in preserving their dreams and enjoyment.

About  Bankyo Figure Museum

On the event day, there may be visitors to the  Bankyo Figure Museum who are not participating in OtaCos. Please refrain from any behavior that may inconvenience other customers, such as changing clothes or taking photos.

Please avoid touching the exhibits.

Entry to rooms other than the exhibition halls, dressing rooms, studios, and restrooms within the Bankyo Figure Museum is prohibited.

To use the dressing room at the  Bankyo Figure Museum, please purchase a participation ticket at the entrance reception.

Shoes must be removed when entering the  Bankyo Figure Museum. If you wish to take photos or use the studio, please attach felt or similar materials to the soles of your shoes to prevent floor soiling.

Regarding the Restroom Facilities

Entry to the facilities is prohibited for individuals who have not purchased or do not present a participation ticket.

This includes the use of the restroom facilities. Please use public restrooms outside the premises.

Regarding Press Coverage

If you wish to conduct press coverage, please contact us in advance. The deadline for applications is one week before the event date. Please contact the OtaCos Executive Committee Secretariat (within Bankyo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) at +81-598-30-5266 (Contact: Fukamizu). Please note that unauthorized coverage without presenting a PRESS pass is not allowed.

Lost and Found Items

For lost items within the Bankyo Figure Museum during the event, please inquire at the entrance reception.

After the event, please contact the OtaCos Executive Committee Secretariat (within Bankyo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) at +81-598-30-5266 for inquiries.

Customers who do not comply with the above guidelines may be denied participation. If there are a significant number of such cases, it may become difficult to continue organizing future events. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please be aware that staff members will be patrolling the venue during the event, and we kindly ask you to follow their instructions.
