Q. What is pictSQUARE?

A. It is an exhibition and sale event of fan works (Dojin-shi) on online.
Walking on a map like a game, we can buy works and talk with others by text-based chatting system.
We welcome beginner ! Anyway, let's try with us !

Q. Is there an manual about the way to use pictSQUARE?

Q. Is there anything to be needed when participating in this event?

A. Signing up to pictSQUARE is needed to participate in this event as a general participant or a circle.＊　General participation is for free. When participating as circle (it means opening up a booth (a store) on this event to sell or exhibit fan works), JPY 550 will be needed for usage fee of pictSQUARE's system.

Q. Can we enter an event venue at any time?

A. No. You will be able to enter there from 12:00 a.m. Japan time on June 19. During the period that the event is held, you can freely enter the venue many times.
Please kindly note that you will be made to exit from the venue if you do not operate anything for 10 minutes after entering there.
＊ Participants as circles can enter the venue before the event starts. Please enter the venue and prepare for your booth (store) whenever you want.

Q. I do not know how to control avatars and how to play at pictSQUARE.

Q. I want to send an message to participating circles.

A. Please use a message board to send your comments to participating circles. There is a message board at the side of each booth (store). Regarding the message that you sent, only you and the participating circle who receive it can see it. So, please feel free to send a message from the message board.

After the event is over, you can keep checking messages and receiving replies.

Q. Can I post screenshots of the venue on SNS?

A. Basically, we welcome your post on SNS. Regarding the details, please kindly refer to the following.
【Avatars】
Taking pictures of avatars at the venue of this event is completely accepted. Please kindly confirm it and participate in this event.

【Bootht (stores)】
Taking pictures of your booth, of this event hosts' booths and of an empty space on the venue is accepted. When you take a picture, please kindly pay attention so that your picture will not include other people's booths.
＊ If you want to take a picture of particular booth, please kindly ask the owner of the booth to get a permission of taking pictures.

Q. I was made to exit from the venue.

A. When you do not operate anything (for example, walking or speaking by using text-based chat system) for 10 minutes, you will be automatically made to exit from the venue for avoiding the overload of the server.

In that case, please again enter the venue.
If you want to delete your avatars immediately, please kindly refer to the following web page and check the way.
When you fix your messages (statements) on text-based chat box, you will never be made to exit the venue automatically.

Q. Can I give some gifts to participating circles?

A. We recommend a service, "giftee." By using "giftee," we can give gifts to someone and can receive gifts on the online.

Please send a URL of gift cards that you bought to a person who you want to give the gift.

Q. Is participating in this event by distributing fan works by net print service acceptable?

A. Yes, of course, it's acceptable. Please kindly feel free to apply for the participation as a circle.

Q. Is it acceptable to participate in this event by an exhibition of photos of cosplay, of moving images, or of hand-made goods?

A. Yes, of course, it's acceptable. Please kindly feel free to apply for the participation as a circle.

Q. I do not have new fan works. But, I have works that I have exhibited or distributed in the past. Can I participate?

A. Yes, we welcome your participation if you have fan works. It is acceptable even if the fan works have been already distributed at past events. Also, posting a data of fan works published in the past to the online is welcomed. Please kindly feel free to apply for the participation as a circle.

Q. I do not have my fan works of which theme is related with a wedding. Can I participate?

A. There is no problem even if the theme of your fan works that you are planning to distribute or to exhibit at this event is not related with a wedding. We welcome your participation. If you have a work about Okumura brothers (both the relation with and without slash are acceptable), you can participate in this event.)

Q. Is it acceptable to participate in this event together with my friends' circle? Also, is it acceptable that I ask my friend who will participate as a circle to put my fan works on his/her booth?

A. If your friends accept it, there is no problem. But, when you want to open up a booth together with your friends, please apply for the participation by a representative.

When you and your friend want to separately open up each booth, please apply for the participation individually and specify "a request for locating your booth next to other circle's booth" and "the name of the circle" on a comment field in application form.

Q. Should an owner of circles be at the booth throughout the period of the event?

A. No, it is not necessary. On the day of the event, please attend whenever you like. It is acceptable that an owner of a booth just exhibits fan works on the booth and is absent on the day of the event. When owners of booths have prepared for the exhibition of their fan works and for mail orders, participants can see and buy their works even if owners are absent.

Q. Is there a template of circle-cut (leaflet) for participating circles of this event?

A. We do not offer a template. Please make out it yourself. Since eveyone who enters the venue of this event can see it, please refrain from making out circle-cut (leaflet) which includes R-rated contents of rabid expressions. A picture of circle-cut that you made out will be resized to a square with 500x500px, when you upload it.

Q. I have not applied for the participation as a circle. But, would it be acceptable to do an unofficial participation (jump on the bandwagon) on the day of the event?

A. We regret to say, but please refrain from participating in this event without applying for the participation officially.
The act of posting fan works or of announcing the start of mail order of fan works on the day of this event without applying for the participation as circles will confuse participants.
All circles participating in this event have paid usage fee for pictSQUARE. In fairness, please kindly refrain from participating without applying for the participation. You can apply for the participation as a circle if you have 1 work. We would be glad if you would have a think about your participation.

Q. Where can I post my fan fictions or fan arts?

A. If fan works are posted on the online, any service that you always use to post works is acceptable. For example, pixiv, privatter and poipic are completely acceptable.A. Q. Which mail order website should I use?

A. Please use your favorite mail order website. When you apply for the participation of circles, please choose “other mail order website” at “Category of store opening.” Then, you can soon participate with your URL that you have already used to exhibit your fan works by services, for example pixiv, BOOTH and Tora-no-ana.
(You can change these things after you finish your application.)

Q. What kind of goods or three-dimensional objects cannot I distribute in this event?

A. For example, the following is one of unacceptable works. The criterion for unacceptable works is the same as that of other normal events.

・Diversion, imitation, or facsimile of official pictures, official logo, official mark or other official designs are prohibited.

・Three-dimensional objects such as figures, acrylic stands and stuffed toys. (Clothes for stuffed toys or dolls are acceptable.)

・Mail orders of goods or drinks. (Please refrain from doing mail order of goods or drinks due to hygienic reasons.)

・Goods of which design will probably be sold by official organization in the future.

Q. Before starting the event, can I start mail order or exhibiting my fan works?

A. Please refrain from starting mail order of new fan works or exhibiting them before this event starts. But, regarding fan works which have already been sold or exhibited before, there is no problem even if those have been sold or exhibited before this event.

Q. I would like you to locate my booth next to my friend’s booth.

A. Please kindly write your request on a column of remark when you apply for the participation as circles. We will try to meet your request as much as possible.
But, due to the limit of the venue, there is a possibility that we cannot meet your request. We would like to ask for your understanding.

Q. Can I choose the number of the space?

A. We are very sorry, but we cannot meet such requests. Please kindly understand that we, hosts of this event, will do everything about locating booths.

Q. Regarding the event of making out avatars on Discord, should I apply for my participation in advance?

A. No, applying for the participation in advance is not needed. On the day of the event, we will post the website link of Discord on this event’s Twitter account. From the website link, please kindly participate anytime that is convenient for you.

Q. Will an entry fee become the income for hosts of this event?

A. No. All amount of entry fee that you paid will be used for usage fee for pictSQUARE. Hence, we, hosts of this event, plan and manage this event without payback.
