One becomes afraid and unsure of one's fixed earthly station when one knows the existence of another,

that through that other man's genuine charity and industrious goodwill,

one becomes impoverished in spirit when body gains from their virtue

and is enticed to bow before the sign of that naive magnanimity

as long as he can convince himself, that the innocence of sheep before him

is not actually the slim skin worn by Blake's life-devouring tigers

ah, thus was tendered so often the unearthly temptations up to the all-knowing jinns

from the lofty station of that all-mighty God
