アニメ映画『ルックバック』（全国119館で6月28日公開）が、公開3日間で観客動員13万5000人、興収2億2700万円を突破したことを受け、反響が多いことから上映劇場が5日より増えることが発表された。
試写で鑑賞済みの『音楽』の岩井澤健治監督、『ゴジラ -1.0』の山崎貴監督、ゲームクリエイターの小島秀夫氏からも絶賛のコメントも届く中、公開日の6月28日午前中にはXの日本のトレンド1位を獲得。その後、29日夕方までトレンド入り。
ルックバック』は、藤本タツキによる日本の漫画作品。『少年ジャンプ+』（集英社）にて2021年7月19日に公開された、全143ページからなる長編読み切り。小学4年生の藤野と、同校に在籍する不登校の京本の、漫画を描く女子2人の人生が描かれている[1][2][3]。
小学4年生の藤野は学年新聞で4コマ漫画を毎週連載し、同級生や家族から絶賛されていた[2][3]。ある日、教師から京本の漫画を掲載したいため、藤野の連載している内の1枠を譲って欲しいと告げられる[2]。
藤野は不登校児である京本を見下していたが、京本の画力は高く、掲載された京本の漫画は周囲の児童からも称賛され[5]比べて藤野の絵は普通だと掌を返すような反応をされる。
Look Back is a Japanese manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. A full-length one-shot with a total of 143 pages, released on July 19, 2021 in "Shonen Jump +" (Shueisha). It depicts the lives of two girls who draw manga, Fujino, a fourth-year elementary school student, and Kyomoto, a student at the same school who refuses to attend school.[1][2][3]
Fujino, a fourth-year elementary school student, serialized a four-panel comic every week in the school newspaper, which received rave reviews from his classmates and family.[2][3] One day, his teacher tells him that he wants to publish a manga from Kyoto, so he wants to give him one slot in Fujino's series.[2]
Fujino looked down on Kyomoto, who was a child who refused to go to school, but Kyomoto's drawing skills were high, and Kyomoto's published manga were praised by the children around him.[5] In comparison, Fujino's drawings were considered average. He reacted by turning his hand back.
