短編映画「The Chicken」、コンサートドキュメンタリー映画『Ryuichi Sakamoto | Opus』で世界中の映画祭から注⽬を集めた新鋭・空⾳央監督の⻑編劇映画デビュー作『HAPPYEND』が10⽉4⽇（⾦）より全国公開。
ヴェネチアをはじめ、トロント、ニューヨーク、釜⼭などの名だたる国際映画祭にて上映、さらには第８回平遥国際映画祭ではロベルト・ロッセリーニ審査員賞を受賞した映画『HAPPYEND』が遂に⽇本公開！
近未来を舞台に現在と地続きのありえるかもしれない未来が描かれ、同時に⾼校⽣たちの話ということもありどこか懐かしさも漂う本作。

This work is set in the near future and depicts a possible future that could be a continuation of the present, but at the same time it has a somewhat nostalgic feel as it is a story about high school students.
制作のきっかけについて聞かれると、空監督は「3.11をきっかけ⾃分の中に政治性が芽⽣え、そこから⽇本の歴史、特に1923年の関東⼤震災時の朝鮮⼈虐殺という歴史を⽬の当たりにしました。
When asked about the impetus for making this film, Director Sora said, ``After 3.11, I became politically conscious, and from there I began to explore Japanese history, especially the history of the massacre of Koreans in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.'' '' he said. 、、、
