IELTSのライティングTASK1で折れ線グラフを説明する際の必須表現をご紹介しましょう。

折れ線グラフの目的とは？

折れ線グラフとは特定の期間にわたっての数値や情報の変動やトレンドを明確に示すためのグラフです。つまり、時間の経過とともにどのようにデータが変化しているのかを伝えないといけません。ですから、変化を表す表現を覚えること、そして時間の経過についての表現を覚えることが大切ですね。

増加を表す動詞&名詞

increase / an increase

減少を表す動詞&名詞

decrease / a decrease
