大和葛城山　Mt.Yamato Katsuragi

こんにちは！
2023/4/22 奈良、大阪にまたがる『大和葛城山』を登ってきました。
大和葛城山を登るのは2回目ですが、前回とは違うルートで登り、とても楽しかったです。
これから山頂のヤマツツジが綺麗な季節になるので、ぜひご参考にして頂ければ幸いです。

Hello! On 4/22/2023, I climbed "Yamato Katsuragisan" which straddles Nara and Osaka. This is the second time for me to climb Mt. Yamato Katsuragi, but I took a different route from the last time and had a lot of fun. I hope you will find it useful as it will be the season of beautiful azaleas at the top of the mountain from now on.

山頂付近のヤマツツジが有名！

Yamato Katsuragi (959.2m) (the highest peak in Osaka Prefecture) Famous for the azaleas near the summit of this 300-meter-high mountain in Japan!

山頂にある『葛城高原ロッジ』に泊まることもできますし、山頂付近にはテント場もあります！

You can stay at the "Katsuragi Kogen Lodge" at the summit, and there are also tent sites near the summit!

水越峠に車を停めたら、看板に従って進みます。
After parking your car at Mizukoshi Pass, follow the signs.
シャガの花。
Shaga flower.
登山道らしくなってきます。
The trail begins to look more like a trail.
崩れた道があります。注意！
There is a collapsed road. Caution!
天狗谷は沢を登っていくルートです。
Tengu Valley is a route up a stream.
鎖を使う場面もあります。
There are also situations where chains are used.
山頂に近づくと、階段が増えます。
As you approach the summit, the number of steps increases.
山頂！ポストがあります。
The summit of the mountain! There is a post.
「ギフチョウ」という珍しい蝶がいるそうです。
They have a rare butterfly called the "giffin butterfly."
山頂付近のヤマツツジ畑からは、抜群の眺め。
The view from the mountain azalea field near the summit is outstanding.
ヤマツツジは蕾でした。
The azaleas were buds.

おわりに　Conclusion

山頂のヤマツツジが咲き乱れる5月上旬頃は、駐車場がいっぱいになるほど人が多く訪れます。
ロープウェイがあるので、山登りに自信がない人や、お子さんがいても山頂に行くことができます。
ご興味のある方は、ぜひ一度登ってみてください！

Around early May, when the azaleas on the summit are in full bloom, so many people visit that the parking lot fills up. There is a ropeway, so even those who are not confident in mountain climbing or have children can reach the summit. If you are interested in climbing the mountain, please give it a try!
