英検1級に1発合格できた人が書くTOEICライティング

以前の記事にも書いたように、僕はエッセーライティングの経験はほとんどありません。

それでも、ライティングが含まれる英検1級には1発で合格しています。

「この程度のライティング力でも合格できるのか」

と勇気づけることができたら幸いです!

恥を忍んでの公開です。

最近、TOEIC SWに興味があるので、マテリアルは英検1級ではありません。

問題の出典は「TOEIC WRITINGテスト問題集」(研究社)です。

ネイティブチェックもなく、今回は難しく、自信もない出来ですので、ご参考程度に。

There are many ways for an organization to find employees. Which do you think is the best way to find suitable employees?

・Advertising in professional journals
・Using personal recommendations
・Recruiting at job fairs

Give reasons and/or examples to support your opinion.

In this modern society, there are various options for an organization to recruit employees. In my opinion, it is the best way to use personal recommendation although it is not a novel way at all. There are three reasons to support my idea.

First, generally speaking, personal recommendation doesn’t cost at all. If you use a job-matching service on the Internet in order to seek employees, you will have to pay a large amount of money to the service. Even more traditional ways like just putting job information in a newspaper will be costly, too. Instead, you should spend that money making work environment better and more ideal for people who work there.    

Second, there will be almost nothing to worry about the credibility of recruits introduced by the current employees who you can attest are credible. There are ample chances where you can’t judge a job applicant’s personality through just one interview. In that case, there may be some kind of risk to your company.

Third, recommended employees themselves will have a lot of benefits. For instance, they can get accustomed more easily to their new workplace because they can ask those they have already known for help even on the very first day of their work. This will add to the productivity of your organization in the long run for the reason that new employees will have less trouble in working.

Advertising on the Internet or in professional journals will give you more options to choose from than personal recommendation. However, this also means you will need much more time to find suitable employees. This time-consuming process will be a big disadvantage of using job advertisement.

In conclusion, for the reasons stated above, the cost effectiveness, the assured credibility of newcomers, the ease with which they can get accustomed to a new working environment, I firmly believe that it is the best way to use personal recommendation.
