The greatest movie moment: CHEF

This is writing about one of my most favorite movie: CHEF.

Actually, I tend to like movies about which stories are little dark or depending on the context or the movies everyone has different interpretations. That’s why when I recommend some movies, only a few people agree with me. Most people comment that your taste is a little minor, or just I’m afraid that I can’t understand what’s the good point about the movie. Therefore, when I talk about movies I am careful about who I’m talking to.

However, this movie(CHEF) is not like that. I can recommend this movie to everyone without care and I am sure that everyone like it.

To begin with, let me introduce about CHEF.
The story is like this:
When Chef Carl Casper, who works as a chief chef at a prominent Los Angeles famous restaurant, suddenly quits his job. Because his creativity about the menu was refused by the restaurant’s owner. Finding himself in Miami, he encountered delicious Cuban sandwiches coincidentally. To spread the taste of the sandwich, he started to launch a food truck with his son and ex-wife. Taking the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots about his passion for the kitchen, love for his son and life.

It was released in 2014, made in America. The director was Jon Favreau, and he produced this movie himself and took the lead role also.

The greatest point is that all of the foods shown in the movie looks incredibly tasty.
The French dish shown in the first few scenes, and the Cuban dishes in the middle scene also looks delicious.
And I like the dishes which are shown in the last part of the movie, Chef Carl suddenly starts cooking empty minded with anger feeling. He transformed his stress into foods, I couldn’t tell what kind of food he cooked, but there’s no doubt it’s delicious, and I saw his passion recovered at that scene.
Movies about food always make us happy, but this one is special.

Another good point is his relationship with his son.
The first part of the movie, the relationship with Chef Carl and his son is very shallow. For example, Chef Carl battled a famous food critic. And his son told his father that nowadays, there is a service called “Twitter”. When he saw a bad tweet about him, he tweeted dirty words to the critic without thinking, and it spread immediately. As a result, no one hired him. He showed his son his miserable situation. In contrast, when he launches a food truck, his son asks him to help him cook. Afterward, he is very strict as a chef for his son. Through the cooking scene, I saw their relationship getting deeper.

Then the third point is traveling.
The food track starts from Florida then proceeds to New Orleans, Austin, and Los Angeles. With the change of the sight, the taste of his sandwiches is changing by taking a feature of the town’s food. It’s fun to know about the differences in the taste of the foods between towns.
