To translate to English, I paraphrased this as "swim in the sea"

How do you react this goldfish when leaves Japan, crosses the sea, and reaches a country other than Japan? With it in mind, I translated this song into English. I want you to read it to the end.

This doesn't apply to any of the J-POP you've ever heard. Because MATSURI doesn't aim typical artist image I'm aiming for. It is new music that never have meet so for. And I would like to reach to you with this new J-POP to the world.

金魚が海を泳ぐ

今いる場所、発信する場所にとらわれずにエリアレスに活動していきたい。

その気持ちは国内のみならず、海外にも向けています。
MATSURIから発信される楽曲はジャンル分けが難しいです。なぜなら「ポストこのアーティストを目指そう！」という目標のもと進めたプロジェクトでは無く、まっさらの状態からMATSURIというアーティスト、楽曲、世界観を構築して進めた結果出来上がった作品だからです。

しかしながら記憶の片隅をくすぐられているような懐かしさを感じるのは、「祭りの日」をコンセプトに置いたことが関係しているのかもしれません。祭りの日から感じられる非日常感、ワクワクするような気持ち、幻想的なイメージ、そしてその瞬間の記憶、感情をMATSURIの色で表現することにより、それは全く新しい日本のカルチャー、J-POPとして世界に発信していける音楽になっていくと思っています。

今いる場所から全国へ、そして世界へ。

MATSURIから溢れるこの世界を少しでも多くの人に触れてもらいたい、そして興味を持ってもらう機会になったら嬉しい。そんな想いで1st digital single『金魚すくい』を英訳してみました。

金魚を川へ流すと、真っ黒なフナに戻ってしまう。そんなお話がありますが、金魚を大きな海へ流してみたらどうなるんだろう。川と同じように目立たない黒色に馴染むのか、大きな世界に怖気付いてしまうのか、はたまた新しい可能性を見つけ進化してしまうのか。「そもそも金魚は淡水魚だから海では生きられないじゃーん」というのはさておき・・・。見つけてほしい、選んで欲しい、そんな想いで作り上げたMATSURIの楽曲。英訳をすることで、この金魚が海を泳ぐ手助けをできるんじゃ無いかと思っています。
