In March 2021, I participated in a 31-day challenge of posting 2-minute speeches in English on Twitter (currently X). I'll re-post some of my daily scripts as my note articles. Enjoy!

Day 2: What were you crazy about as a child?

Hmmmm....This makes me wonder. What did I really like when I was a child?

Oh, okay, I remember one thing. I loved A FROG. Yes, a frog. Well, to be exact, I liked the main character of a children’s show presented by a theater company called “木馬座.” It was like Sesame Street and was very popular in the 1960s. I was in kindergarten then. The frog, the main character, was called “ケロヨン.” I just loved, loved, loved ケロヨン! So much so that I came to like the color green, ケロヨン’s color. My mother bought me a pink skirt one day, but I begged her to exchange it for a green one!

By the way, frogs say “kero, kero” or “geko, geko” in Japanese. But in English, they say, “ribbit, ribbit.” Just for your information.
