In the atticroom [English]

airattic is a very energic and active group. It is easy to fall into the tempo the group has and move your body to match their music and dancing. All five members are very capable at singing and dancing. No matter which member you pick as a favourite, you can't go wrong; they're all awesome. Even so, airattic is a group I stumbled upon by chance.

February 2023 was one of my earliest trips to Japan and was when I started going to idol events. airattic's first anniversary event, airattic.tokyo20230220, is the first idol taiban I ever attended. It was my first exposure to airattic; I originally attended the taiban for another group. Yet, almost a year later, I cannot forget the beginning of airattic's set. The lighting was dim, hiding the figures of all members, and 寧々さん began to sing the opening lines of #343 . I froze in place, not moving at all, as I listened to that voice. It was beautiful. Then, more voices joined in, as the lights came on, weaving together an ethereal and enthralling scene. Following #343 was the energetic performance airattic is commonly known for. This is the story of how both 寧々さん and 日菜莉さん caught my ear and how I came to adore airattic. I could not have asked for a better introduction.

During my recent one month stay, I had the pleasure of seeing airattic 7 times. On November 17th at Shinjuku MARZ I got to hear #343 live again! 😭 Having the opportunity to see airattic so often, and at venues both large (ex. WOMB) and small (ex. Shibuya Milkyway) was very fun. During cheki time, 日菜莉さん was full of energy every session, even when she had to speak softly. It’s always fun to talk with 日菜莉さん, even during previous trips. Multiple times 日菜莉さん has talked about how much I jump and one time wrote Mario instead of my name w. Plus, successfully getting 寧々さん to smile and laugh a few times was a delight! It is a rare but precious smile.

I was also able to attend 日菜莉さん’s birthday event; atticroom17. Spotify O-Crest is a comfortably small venue and the perfect size for an event like this. I wasn’t expecting to see 日菜莉さん wear the angel outfit on stage. It was very pretty! A very welcome surprise. But the highlight of it all was 日菜莉さん herself. The reason I was first drawn to 日菜莉さん was due to her voice and on this day 日菜莉さん sang multiple solo songs. Some entirely on her own and others with an excellent guitarist whose kanji name I cannot type www. Hearing 日菜莉さん sing with such passion, for a host of songs she undoubtedly loves, was great. I hope that 日菜莉さん enjoyed singing that day as much as the crowd enjoyed watching, as seeing 日菜莉さん solo was a rare treat! During cheki time I sang happy birthday in three languages: English, French and Hebrew. Plus, people had the option to have cheki where 日菜莉さん was holding a bouquet of flowers! This was super cool.

Speaking of birthdays, today is 寧々さん’s birthday! Happy birthday! I hope 寧々さん can enjoy the alcohol of her choice today.
