逃げろ、にんげん

オレは高い場所から、下を見下ろすのが好きだった。今日も、草原の上空を飛んでいた。

そんなオレが見つけたのは、ひとりの人間の男。

彼は草原の中央で立ち止まっていた。

オレは彼を注視した。

男はずっとその場所にいた。彼の表情は深刻だった。

カラスは男が何をしているのか気になって、よく見てみると、彼は手錠をかけられ、周りには何人かの兵士がいた。

オレは男のことを哀れみ、近づいていった。

男の声が聞こえてきた。

「私は罪を犯していない」と彼は叫んだ。「私はただ、人々を助けたかった。」

カラスはその言葉を聞いて、男性が冤罪を被っていることが分かった。

オレは周りを見回し、何か方法を探した。

すると、男の足元にある石を見つけた。

オレはその石をくわえ、男性に向かって飛んでいった。

男はカラスを見て、驚いた表情を浮かべた。

オレは石を男の手元に落とし、彼に合図を送った。男は意図を理解し、手錠を破って自由になった。

オレは男性が逃げるのを見届け、満足げに飛び去っていった。オレは自分ができることをしたと思った。

オレが見たものを、誰かに伝えることはできないけれど、オレは自分が目撃した出来事を永遠に忘れることはないだろう。

I used to enjoy looking down from high places and today was no different as I flew over the grassy plain. It was then that I spotted a lone man standing in the center of the field.

I fixed my gaze on him as he remained still, his expression serious. Curious about what he was doing, I flew closer and noticed that he had been handcuffed and there were a few soldiers surrounding him.

Feeling sorry for him, I approached the man who then shouted out, "I didn't commit any crime, I just wanted to help people!" As a crow, I understood his words and realized he was being wrongly accused.

I looked around for a solution and noticed a stone by the man's feet. I picked it up with my beak and flew towards him. Startled by my arrival, the man looked at me in surprise as I dropped the stone near his hand and gave him a signal. Understanding my intention, he used the stone to break free from his handcuffs and ran away.

I watched him escape and flew away satisfied, feeling like I had done something good. Even though I couldn't tell anyone what I had witnessed, I knew I would never forget the events that had unfolded before me.

Or so I thought.
