ICAO航空英語：巡航中機内に煙！Capt.GPTも煙くなってきた。

ICAO航空英語能力証明(実技)の4コマ絵カードが試験官から提示されました。Capt.GPTは絵をさっと見て状況を説明しました。

” During a cruise flight cabin crew found smoke in the cabin. But they were unable to identify the source of fire. The flight crew were then reported a possible fire in the plane.”

試験官からはまず、”Can you explain the apropriate approch for flight safety? ”と訊ねられました。

すかさず、Capt.GPTは見解を口にします。”I think the first step would be to identify the source of the smoke. If the flight crew can't detemine where the fire is, they should quickly assess the situation and contact air traffic control and/or ground personnel for assistance. If the smoke got thicker, all the crew should be activate the appropriate fire suppression system and take any other necessary steps to ensure the safety of the passengers and the crew. The aircraft should be diverted to the nearest suitable airport if necessary.”

今度は試験官から、”What do you think the common area of inflight fire other than engines? Generally how do you respond?”との問いかけです。Capt.GPTは”Except engines, right?”と一呼吸おいてから答え始めました。
