2022.1.15《今日の聖書》テサロニケ人への手紙第一
神に愛されている兄弟たち。私たちは、あなたがたが神に選ばれていることを知っています。
「神に愛されている兄弟たち」とは、テサロニケ教会の人たち。「私たち」とは、パウロ、シルワノ、テモテたちです。そして、まだ若いテサロニケ教会の人々は、迫害の中でも、信仰に堅く立っていたのです。だから、励ますためにパウロはこの手紙を書きました。神様を信じる信仰、復活と再臨の希望、十字架の愛、この三つがいつまでも残るのです。
今日も、主の愛の中で過ごせますように・・・。

knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.
"Beloved brethren" are the people of Thessalonica, and the "We" are Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy. And the young people of the church in Thessalonica stood firmly in their faith even in the midst of persecution. So Paul wrote this letter to encourage him. Faith in God, hope for resurrection and second coming, love for the cross, these three will remain forever.
May the love of the Lord be with you today as well.
