半（半端な）自給自足生活をはじめました。
People often say that life does not go according to plan, and my life is no exception. I had never dreamed I would end up battling with chicken poop every morning.
人生は計画どおりにいかないとはよくいったものですが、私の場合も、例にもれず、まさか毎朝にわとりたちのフンと格闘するような生活になるとは思ってもみませんでした。
In my younger days, I was a typical girl from a small town who dreamed of city life.
若いころの私は、都会を夢見る典型的な田舎女子。
I’m currently teaching Japanese, mostly to students online.
現在の仕事は日本語教師。主にオンラインで教えています。
And my American husband is a translator. Before we moved here, he spent his spare time on music and games.
そして主人はアメリカ人の翻訳者。引っ越す前は、仕事以外は音楽とゲーム三昧でした。
時には頭の中は地球でなくて宇宙のなかにいることも…
Due to various circumstances, we moved to a small Mississippi town in the Deep South with our son (from my previous marriage). We’ve decided to try living a partially self-sufficient life here.
そんなわたしたちですが、いろいろわけあって、息子（私の連れ子）もいっしょに、アメリカ南部でもディープサウスとよばれるミシシッピの小さな町に引っ越し、半(半分というより半端な）自給自足生活をめざすことにしました。
