Japanese tutor day 105

7th May, rainy.

I had the Japanese tutor after school as usual, but it was a different vibe.
I found out there are not so many vending machines in Australia, therefore I picked up the topic of vending machines.
I was wondering if they could understand the way to use them and be curious about unusual vending machines that can be found only in Japan.
Up on starting class, I felt awkward by their reactions. Even though these topics must be enjoyable and attractive, they seemed like so hectic.

Meanwhile, I finally understood due to the national holiday yesterday they wouldn't be used to the irregular school life that began on Tuesday.

What a hard class management was. I ended up finishing early.
Can't be helped…
Anyway, stepping on this experience, I would like to keep going.

On the rainy 7th of May, my usual Japanese tutoring session after school took on a different tone. I discovered that vending machines aren't as prevalent in Australia, sparking my interest in discussing them during class. I wondered if my students would grasp the concept and be intrigued by the unique vending machines found only in Japan. However, as the class began, I sensed an awkwardness in their reactions. Despite my anticipation that these topics would be engaging, they appeared disoriented.
Later, I realized that due to the national holiday the day before, my students were likely not accustomed to the irregular school schedule that started on Tuesday. Managing the class became quite challenging, and I ended up concluding it earlier than usual. It couldn't be helped. Nonetheless, I view this experience as a learning opportunity and am determined to continue improving.
